Welcome to MistClan's Territory
Long, long ago, there was a cat named Leaf who lived peacefully in the forest. She was a very kind cat who enjoyed the company of others. A few cats lived with her in her large territory with expanded from the mountain peaks to the edge of the lake and to the flatlands beyond the forest. No cat ever challenged her because she was far too nice to them all. She allowed each cat to share her territory and prey so long as there was no fighting. Then, of course, one cat wasn't satisfied with sharing. He wanted a share of the territory that belonged to him and those who followed him. He chose the misty spruce forest and claimed it for himself and those that were loyal to him. For the first time in ages, Leaf was angered. Her hospitality had been taken advantage of and she didn't like it. She gathered up the cats that were loyal to her and formed her own clan, LeafClan. Her ancestors saw her need and granted her nine lives. The tomcat who had taken part of her territory was now called Mist for the land he had chosen. Mist's ancestors saw his need as well. They gave him nine lives as well. Mist now formed his own clan, called MistClan. Leafstar's clan wanted to rid the land of Miststar, but she told them not to attack. Her territory had been far too large for her to manage properly, even with the help of her clan. But, of course, they would still defend their own territory from the MistClan cats. The two clan leaders' ancestors saw this and decided that both LeafClan and MistClan would need guidance for the future. They came to the leaders in dreams and told them to follow StarClan and the warrior code for guidance and they could both keep their territories. The clan leaders agreed.
---Time passes ---
In the previous year, there was a large sickness in the LeafClan territory. Many cats died. The deputy, leader, even the medicine cats eventually succumbed to the plague. The few remaining cats grew farther apart. A few went to the MistClan side of the creek, while others tried to hang onto what was left of LeafClan. Palestar, the MistClan leader, being respectful of the LeafClan fallen, told her cats not to hunt or trespass into the old LeafClan grounds. Will LeafClan die and be gone forever, or can it be saved?
