Thrushpaw slipped in around her and moved to the back of the cluster. She dropped off the annoying prey that was telling her to talk to someone about her feelings.

"Yes!" Flamekit smiled, blushing faintly.

Mothkit watched from the nursery with big eyes. She padded to Duckwing and asked, "How are you able to heal all of those cats?"

"Lightningkit, you 'ave reached the age of six moons, an' it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Lightningpaw. Your mentor will be Sootfall. I hope that Sootfall will pass down all he knows on to you. Sootfall, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You'd received decent training from myself an' you've shown yourself to be valiant an' strong-hearted. You'll be the mentor of Lightningpaw, an' I expect you to pass on all ya know to 'er."

Beetlepaw grinned and nuzzled Flamekit.

Lightningpaw bounded to Sootfall. I hope he's fast! the unusually small Apprentice stood on her hind legs to tap noses with her mentor before falling back.

Foxcloud purred loud. "I'm so proud of them."

Katie placed two rabbits on the pile and saved a bird for herself.
