"Shut up, Meadow," he snapped sourly. "You told yourself you loved me, but you never really did,"

Meadowpaw looked at him, "I really did love you but I heard how you were forcing Peachtail to be your mate. Why would you hurt another if you already felt the pain? That's what opened my eyes. You are a murderer and a player. I'm sorry, but, I can't be with someone like that. Peachtail has stuck by the side and I've ignored the stuff she's said about you but now I understand. I'm sorry Peachtail for not being able to face the truth."

"But I can't tell anymore, and you did like me back. I turned a blind eye to you because I felt you were better off without me," he whispered,"And you are, but something tells me that you aren't telling the truth when you tell me that you don't share my feelings anymore." then he turned to Meadow,"But you... You didn't love me, so I gently pushed you away. I never forced you. You... Don't love me at all,"

After speaking, Katie laid down once more tiredly.
"Hello?" Zac asked upon seeing the shecat he meet a while back.

Peachtail rested her tail on her friend's shoulders. "It's okay, Meadowpaw. You did what you thought was right. You were loyal to the cat you loved and you made him happy when no one else could. I can't be angry with you for that." She smiled and nuzzled her friend affectionately. To Jackdawpaw, she responded, "That's right. I did like you back. But that was before all of this happened. My feelings have changed since then, and like I said before, I can't love a murderer. If you want to continue believing that there's something more going on between us, then go right ahead. But you'll be believing in a lie. I told you the whole truth, from my perspective, anyway."

"Set me up?" Kestrelstar frowned. "He tried to kill me?" That would explain why Creekstorm hadn't bothered to help him when he got caught in the trap. But why? Was Creekstorm really a murderer? Had he really tried to kill Ivycloud with a deathberry all those moons ago? He'd wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, but now he wasn't sure that he could do.

Robinthroat blinked open her eyes and squinted against the sun. She sat up to get a closer look at the tom who had spoken to her and smiled broadly when she recognized him. "Oh, hey, Zeke! What are you doing back here? Getting into more trouble?" she teased.

"I have to go back to Sal," he flicked his tail before leaving and running back to Salazar's camp with Bravekit.

Rose and Meadowpaw glared at Blade as he left.

"Pffft, nah! Not this time! I just came to say hello!" Zac smiled.

Peachtail watched him leave and sighed. "So...um...a-are you staying with AshClan after all?" she asked Meadowpaw nervously.

"Oh. Hello then!" Robinthroat greeted him. "How are you and Rocky doing?"

"Great! Rocky had the brilliant idea of taking Katie, my friend, to go with a quick 'take and run' on the nearest twoleg place. Like those evil rabbits who kept trying to eat Rocky that one time! I can get you some of the rabbit if you want." Zac said. "Anyway, how are you?"

Ivycloud sighed, "I'm not sure, he set me up with a death berry, though. So I wouldn't be surprised if he set you up."

Meadowpaw nodded, "Of course. I hope to find another mate." She looked into her friend's eyes and gratefully meowed, "Thanks so much for standing up for me..."
