The fox then saw his mate lying broken on the floor he howled in rage and despair then fell to the ground beside her whimpering and nudging her with his nose.
The original fox
Hr eyes fluttered open "hello" she whimpered in fox trying to stay positive.
The new fox
"no no no no no" the fox whimpered. "you can't die" the fox howled again in love.
The original fox
She looked into his eyes and weakly howled with him.

She turned to the cats and spoke their language "learn to.." before she could finish her eyes glazed and she died.
The new fox
He whimpered and licked the foxes shoulder then growled at the cats and pushed past them. he picked up the smaller pup by the scruff and barked at the other one to move and started to pad away from his dead mate.
