Moonstar kept his eyes on the setting sun. "It's hard, isn't it?" He mewed. "She can still have kits, you know. And she may go and hunt." He sighed. "She just can't perform everyday Warrior duties. I... We all still appreciate her."

"We can look for a dove, if you wish." Maplefur said, "We can head towards camp, but we can slow the pace, and look for prey on the way..." he suggested and began walking.

[Cradily]

"I would very much like that. Thank you, Maplefur." Milkflower dipped her head in gratitude to him, then began making her way back to camp, all the while keeping her senses alert for a dove.

"Fishing sounds good," Mallowshade concurred. "If she doesn't fall into the stream first."

"I know that," Batfang snapped much more harshly than he had intended. "But it won't be the same. We won't share the same den anymore. We'll hardly ever be able to hunt together anymore, and she'll probably never get the chance to fight in battle again. And it's all my fault. I led her straight into the accident with the badger. She's retired now because of my recklessness." He raked his claws across the branch once again, peeling off strips of brownish-gray bark.

Ivycloud nodded and took a walk in the forest.

Specklepelt chuckled "So far she has not done that!" she got up and called to her apprentice "Cinderpaw!"

[Cradily]

Cinderpaw perked up when she heard Specklepelt's voice. "Y-Yes?" she meowed, happy to be able to talk to her mentor but slightly worried that she would be scolded for wandering off on her own. I wasn't really on my own though. I had Sootpaw with me.
