Cloudsong shuffled her paws. She'd hoped she'd find a mate by now. Sighing, she gave a nod, "Yes, Moonstar." Her blue eyes gazed at the ground.

"Remember, as you are joining at such an early age, you may still occasionally hunt. Also, you may have a mate and be a queen." He mewed, trying to comfort the poor cat.
"Cloudsong, is it your wish to give up the name of a warrior and go to join the elders?"

Batfang looked up all of a sudden. She's really retiring to the elders' den? Before Cloudsong had a chance to reply to Moonstar, he bounded over to her and meowed, "Cloudsong, are you sure this is what you want? You can still be a warrior, even without your whole tail! You remember the stories of Ancient ThunderClan, right? Remember Berrynose? He only had half a tail, but he was still a great warrior. You can be too." His gentle blue eyes clouded with sadness. "Please don't retire. I'll miss seeing you in the warriors' den."

Milkflower buried her catch at the base of a tree and continued sniffing around for prey. "I do hope that we are able to find another dove. They taste so lovely! Maplefur, what type of prey would you like to find?" she asked the tom with a curious smile.

"Oh, okay, sorry," Cinderpaw mewed in a hushed voice. She continued to groom Sootpaw quietly.

Firepaw was surprised at Cloudsongs answer. But Batfang was right. Berrynose had lost half of his tail as a kit. "Youll become a great warrior!" he joined in.

Leopardtail saw Sootpaw had woken up, she padded over to him "You alright? Does your head hurt any?" she saw that the blood was stopped "Well done Duckpaw, know if you could remember herbs" she laughed kindly then looked back at the injured apprentice.

Specklepelt padded back into camp, she didn't catch anything and just walked around the forest. She went and sat under the old oak tree with a huff.

Mallowshade glanced over at Specklepelt when the she-cat entered the camp. "Hey," she meowed. "Moonstar's just announced that Cloudsong's moving to the elders' den. I guess she thinks that she can't be a warrior anymore, since she's lost half of her tail, but Batfang and Firepaw are trying to convince her otherwise."

"She can still be a warrior.. might have to go through some training to relearn balance though." Specklepelt said cheerfully.

"Please Cloudsong! Youll make a fine warrior. Even without your tail." he really wanted the she-cat to continue being a warrior.

"Whaddaya mean, most of the time?" Kestrelclaw asked with a mock hurt expression on his face. "I've always been good!"

Batfang pushed himself to his paws and stumbled tiredly out of the den. He limped over to the fresh-kill pile and grabbed a small thrush between his jaws, not even bothering to take it to his favorite spot under the shady old oak tree and instead eating it right where he was.

Cinderpaw was grooming Sootpaw's head with her tongue when he awoke all of a sudden. She let out a sigh of relief. "Oh, Sootpaw, I'm so glad you're awake! Duckpaw said you'd be fine, but I was still sort of worried..."

"Awww! I know!" Ivycloud replied, playfully giving him a friendly lick on the nose. She jumped back before he could react.
