Java nodded in agreement and started eating his mouse. "I think it's a trap." He said after chewing, then he took another bite. The wolves might be right, though it's best the cats should check out these 'killing machines' before going off to help them or calling them crazy. "Why don't we check it out?" He suggested.

"good idea, the gathering is soon, maybe then" he agreed "it's a shame we're on a different part of the island then the other animals. The Lynx stood up and started walking away "i'm going to have a nap in camp".

"Suit yourself." Java said in monotone as he walked away, too. He jumped up a tree and skillfully jumped to the next, then the next. He went on until he'd crossed far away from lynx territory and into the meeting place, past that and straight into the cold territory of the wolves. He jumped into a pile of snow and hid himself and waited.

Steel rushed around the snow trying to bite his tail, he nearly got his tail when he saw a brown spot in the ground. He padded up to it and realised it was a lynx "hi there i'm steel!" he greeted wagging his tail.

Java grumbled. Just what I needed. A wolf cub. He got up and shook the snow off of him and faced the pup. "Hello. May I in..." He stopped, realizing it was still a young one and probably didn't know big words. "May I ask you some questions?" Java asked as softly as he could.

Java flicked his small stub of a tail. "Is it true, little one, that two legged things are attacking your home land?" He asked, laying down and staring at the wolf cub with a cold, hard, inescapable gaze.

Syria stalked through the tall grass, keeping her focus on the little squirrel. She pounced, and aimed for it's neck, just missing.She watched it run away and growled in disgust.

"Really? Well, that's very... Brave. Good thinking, pup." Java praised and stood up, ready to leave. "I'll be going now, but I hope to see you next time." He bowed his head and started running off back to his own territory.

Mist went out hunting with her cub, Zoomee. Suddenly, Zoomee's ears pricked up and they both stiffened. "Deer. Upwind, good. Hasn't heard us yet." Zoomee whispered to his mother. They crept forward slowly, hiding in the grass. "Get ready to pounce, Mother. Three...two..." Mist tensed and crouched down, licking her lips as she thought of the fresh meat to come. "Now...!" Zoomee whispered, his Mist pounced out too late. The deer had heard them. "Why don't we just go hunt for vole?" Mist suggested, feeling embarrassed.
