Dovekit backed away ears flattened. She kept glancing nervously at the badger on the ground.

Poppyheart hissed at the dead badger and jumped on another one,fastening her claws deep into the beast's shoulders on either side. She yelped as the badger threw her off, causing her to land on her side, momentarily winded.

Shadepelt launched himself at the badger that had knocked Poppyheart aside, aiming for its face

Poppyheart regained her state of mind and jumped up, dashing in next to Shadepelt. "Thanks." She mewed, slashing the badger's nose and causing scarlet blood spurt out, drenching the she-cat's paw.

Dovekit let out pitiful wails as the badger got back up. "It's still alive!?" she wailed
