Chevy was hut by her bitterness. "It was my pleasure." he said curtly.

[Steffi.]

She snorted. "Don't look so glum. I'm the same to everyone, trust me." she said, flicking her tail.

'Who said I was glum?" he nickered happily. His eyes shone with friendlyness and welcoming.

[Steffi.]

She shook her head impatiently. "Look, I'm looking for a herd, but not a mate. I don't want more than than one child, and I'll have my one foal soon enough." she said to him.

Chevy found himself very pleased. "You can stay with me! I don't have much of herd. It's always me, myself, and lonely I."

[Steffi.]

She gave him a semi-confused look. "You'll let a soon-to-be mother into your herd?" she asked.

[TheScamperPony]

"Well, sure! I mean, if you need shelter, I can provide that! I'm not going to kill off foals because they are my enemy's foals, and I wouldn't turn away a mare in need." he said.
