Jericho walked the alley ways like a mere ghost drifting by. In a way, that was very much what he was. He had no connections to any other wolves, and very little confrontations with humans, not counting the little situation he had previously gotten himself tangled up in.
It was a lonely road he had been forced to walk thus far, but his destiny was changing. With the scent of the Lunar Flower just over his head, he knew that things were about to be different. The wolves, whether they liked it or not, would have to abandon this City within the next couple of days. He was ready to lead them, and though unsure of the road ahead, he had a strong confidence growing within him. It was what motivated him now. Amidst the blood sprinkled in his beard was a smile that belied his rough appearance.
Just then, something caught his attention. Immediately, freezing in his steps, he strained his ear to listen to the sudden sound. This sound, this ambient lullaby to him sounded so sweet. It was familiar to him, somehow..it was like the song he used to sing to the moon.
Jericho forgot all at once where it was he had been trying to get to, but all he knew was that in that moment nothing else mattered. The sound drew him like moth to flame. The blue-eyed wolf followed his feet, which seemed to lead him to the heart of the city.
The outside was bustling with busy men and women dressed in white garb, clipboards in their hands and eyes glued to their work. Jericho looked around for the right opening. The east side of the Silver Spire was ungaurded, and a small door was left a jar. Calm and cool, Jericho came around the side of the building and entered the open door. The sound was still in his head, beckoning him move closer and so he did.
He was not acting rationally, risking his detection with each door he opened but nothing would stop him now. One of the rooms he entered on the fourth floor was full of computers and desks. Jericho noted the beeping sounds coming from certain monitors, and the dark room was lit up by blue and green flashing lights. On top of a chair to his right, Jericho spotted a white lab coat neatly drapped over the top of it. He grabbed it and put it on, and looked around for another opening. On the opposite side of the room was a door leading to a stairwell, it was open slightly just like all the other doors up to this point. Jericho would normally question this lack of security on the Lab's part, but something told him he was meant to be in there, and he needed to go through that door next.
Climbing the steps of the stairwell, the sound grew louder. It was a sound so pure and sweet, Jericho followed after it in a trance. At the top of the stairs was a door with a red exit sign glowing above it. Jericho busted through the door and was once again exposed to the light of day. He sheilded his sensitive eyes as they took time to adjust. Moving forward blindly, he stopped dead in his tracks. When his eyes finally adjusted, a vision was standing before him.
The Lunar Flower..
A young, beautiful woman dressed in white smiled at him. Her presence had a certain warmth to it, like the moon herself. Her eyes pierced through him, and next thing Jericho knew he was walking towards her, this time, as a wolf.
