"Sounds good." The tom returned, flicking his tail as he led her down to the training hollow. The fog was thickening, but the rain was dying down some. "Strange fog. Hopefully it'll go away by sun-high, hm?" He mewed, simply for conversation.

S T A R L I N G E A R

The black tom led his patrol through the foggy forest, tail trailing through the undergrowth. As the approached RiverClan territory, he halted. He lowered his head to Crystalpaw's ear. "What do you smell, Crystalpaw?"

Rainpaw nodded as she looked around her, fog making her view limited. "Hopefully..." She replied, looking back at Buzzardtalon to see if she could still see her mentor.

Liontuft stretched, his extremley long tabby golden fur shining gold in the sunshine, the black stripes on his legs standing out. Her rolled onto his belly and yawned, showing sharp teeth.

Russetfur groaned as he padded back in to the elders den and slumped in to his nest. He curled up in a ball, shivering a little as he didn't have much fur left to keep him warm. He lifted his head and turned towards where he assumed Liontuft was, even though he couldn't see his den mate, "How are you?" he muttered, attempting to get comfortable.

"So are we going to practice battle moves or are we going to work on hunting?" Seagull-feather asked Willowclaw to see what she had in mind.

Liontuft lifted his head and smiled at the old tom, "Hello Russetfur, good thanks, what about you?" Liontuft rasped.

Russetfur stretched out his aching joints, "The same as usual." he muttered, voice barely audible as he burst in to a fit of coughing. When the coughing subsided, he rested his head on his paws with a sigh and flicked his tail, "Is your nest as damp as mine?" he asked, "This moss feels like it's just been pulled out of the river," the tom complained.

"Sure is!" Liontuft rasped, the younger elder pawing at his moss. He peeked out of the entrance of the elders den. He saw Maplepaw and meowed to the old apprentice, "Maplepaw, fetch us some dry moss? This is as damp as riverclan!"


Maplepaw nodded to the old elder and bolted out of the camp.

The she cat thought it over for a moment. "I think we should do battle training." she said. "This fog would be great for teaching them how to ambush attack." She paused for a moment before asking. "What do you think?"
