<< name >> "Bayard Bladeseeker, son of Sadon Shadeslayer.
Last name is...due to something else."
<< gender >> "I'm a guy. Is it...is it not obvious?"
<< species >> "I'm 100% human."
<< dragon >> "My dragon is my best friend, Warrick. Also my partner in crime."
<< weapon >> "I'm mostly known for my sword, Mor'ranr. It means peace. It
is a two-handed weapon with a slick, gold blade with three hexagon yellow jewels
vertically along it. The hilt is a leather wrapping. It is of Elvish Make."
<< relations >> "None, I suppose. Aside from being bonded with Warrick."
<< crush/spouse >> "...Uhm." (He has a slight crush on Ailene.)
<< age >> "I'm twenty. Young for a rider."
<< weight >> "...146 pounds."
<< hair colour >> "Blonde."
<< eye colour >> "Green."
<< height >> "6"1."
<< sexuality >> "I'm straight."
<< personality >> At first sight, Bayard might be considered something of an
'adrenaline junkie.' Before putting his alignment with the castle he typically spent most days doing daring
jumps off of his dragon, Warrick and having him catch him at the right moment. He hated the idea of
following rules and having a superior. Because of this he has no knowledge of the Ancient Language and
knows one or two words to aid him in combat. However he is very skilled in swordsmanship as he was
taught by his father when he was very young. Despite this he has little experience in the field of battling.
His sword is literally named peace. Bayard can be calm in some situations and typically always has a
joke on the tip of his tongue. He is very intelligent--though naive and can occasionally act immature.

Born to an image he could never look up to. The great Sadon Shadeslayer, rider who saved the town many times over with his massive dragon, Warrick Bjartskular. Whoo-hoo. Bayard spent most of his days drawing images in the sand, coming up with games in his head. He was homeschooled by his father--taught how to wield a sword at a very young age. But of course, this could only lead to disaster. A sparring incident with his father when he was just nine years old led to a pale, white scar along the bottom of his right hip. It took a year for him to gain the courage once again to pick up a sword. Lucky for him, a group of eggs had come in. It was a great surprise to Bayard, however, when one of the eggs trembled and split open into a small, gold coloured dragon. From the start they were almost inseparable. Now that he was a rider he was often expected to show up to classes, tuck your shirt in, don't slouch! Bayard always tried to avoid them. Instead he would sneak off into the woods where he would play games with his new dragon which he named Warrick, after his father's dragon. He always imagined that naming his dragon after the great Shadeslayer's would bring him luck. And one day, before Warrick could fly, he got his chance. The elder rider's sword had been stolen from a group of young teens, seeking to get a kick out of it. Bayard brought Warrick with him, threatening the young teens if they did not give up the sword. However, the teens fought back. Only in the nick of time was Bayard saved. By his father. Sadon was furious with him. To a son who would never live up to a great hero. So, upon Bayard's fifteenth birthday and the time when he could finally ride Warrick he left. His home, his mother, his father. To find a new adventure.

<< name >> "Warrick Bjartskular."
<< gender >> "Hmph! I'm a male."
<< species >> "Are you kidding me?" (He's a dragon.)
<< rider >> "Bayard Bladeseeker. He's lucky to have me."
<< weapon >> "I have claws, wings and teeth! What else do
I need?"
<< relations >> "My namesake, Warrick is my father. I'm not too
sure about my mother."
<< crush/spouse >> "Warriors don't have crushes." (He's obsessed with
Blaze, Ailene's dragon.)
<< age >> "My egg is about forty years old and I myself am ten years old."
<< weight >> "...3,700kg. Do you want me to sit on you?"
<< scale colour >> "The best colour of a dragon. Gold."
<< eye colour >> "Yellow."
<< height >> "I'm coming on eleven feet. The size of an African Elephant."
<< sexuality >> "I like females--that is, if I had a crush."
<< personality >> The exact opposite of his rider, Bayard. Warrick does
not seek peace. He's often bad-tempered and grumbly. He's also extremely
arrogant and can be considered vain. He likes to consider himself the fastest,
most attractive dragon there is. However much of a 'warrior' he calls himself, he truly does have a soft heart.
He adores his rider Bayard and would die for him in an instant. Underneath his rocky exterior he has a noble heart and
will always do what is right, no matter the cost to himself. But that's something he would never admit. He loves the
feeling of flying and being free--something he shares with Bayard. Secretly, he thinks Bayard is a bit stupid at times
and knows that he always has to be there to protect his rider.

The only surviving egg in a clutch lain by a mysterious wild dragoness and Sadon Shadeslayer's dragon, Warrick. He was lucky to have survived. Because many were searching for him, trying to kill him. And they almost succeeded too.
They were Shades. Seeking to destroy the dragon Warrick's eggs due to the fact that his Rider had killed one of their own, earning him his name 'Shadeslayer'. Upon discovering he was the father of a clutch of three dragon eggs, Warrick was overjoyed. That night, the Shades attacked. They slaughtered an egg and stole the other two, killing the mother in the process. Furious and seeking vengeance, both Sadon and Warrick set out. They risked their lives in the process, but managed to recover one egg. The other had been dropped from an injured Warrick's talons. It caused him much guilt. It only seemed fate that Sadon Shadeslayer's son, Bayard, would touch the exact egg and have it hatch. And perhaps fate, even, that he named his dragon after his father's?
