you are a royal pet. you live in the finest home, with freshly prepared food and lots of love. there are many other animals like you in other places. fires are constant because of people who dont belive in what your master is doing. he-she allows the kingdom to own exotic pets, which is wrong. one night, you awake to the acrid stench of smoke! everyone is screaming and running around. you dont know what to do. your master had already been hustled out a hatchway and into the night. the servants are irrelevant to your presence. smoke curls down your throat. you finally collapse...
you make in a cage. the night sky is sparkling above your head. no smoke in sight. a young leopard is crouched close to you. he springs up as you open your eyes. "they woke up!" animals are peering at you but they suddenly part. a female cheetah pads towards you. she leans down. "Animal Control rescued you from your home. it was burning to the ground. you were transported here because you are a wild animal. they cant turn you loose, or rehome you. welcome to the family!
