Elle nodded, eyes slightly wide. She was feeling slightly smothered- she hadn't even been here a half hour, and here she was. In the middle of the woods with an angry mare, frustrated stallion, and overly nice stallion. Not that she knew any of them well, but she had a feeling she would before all this was over.
Suddenly she knew what she had to do. Ignoring the stallions for a moment, and not thinking of how they would react, she straitened herself up, and arched her neck proudly. She was not to be messed with this early in the game. A game she knew so well. She marched up to Dark Lady, and snorted slightly, but with ears tipped back. Her legs were stiff and slightly separated more than the normal. Then she, herself, reared, letting out a scream. Her front legs were tight and together, her entire body poised neatly, but with an icy fire. Her silvery body had shadows etched across it, but points of sunlight shown down, making her appear dappled. At full climax, she struck out. Not near Dark Lady, but she made a point. The entire thing appeared to happen in slow motion, the way her long, slightly curly white mane flowed out around her, and her tail blown out behind her slightly from the breeze. She came down gracefully, but red fire slightly glinting in her eyes. When she landed, she snorted, and said, "You have made your move, and I have made mine. I refue to be the plaything of stallions- I have my own mind. And I will NOT be intimidated by you. Hey, you don't want me to choose Steling? Fine. I don't choose him then. I respect a mare's decision. But let it be known that I am not afraid. Not afraid of you, or anyone." She did not say this lightly- it was laced with determination. But it was not scornful, or insulting either. If this mare wanted a fight, she would get one. But she guessed that this was not what the mare was after. What did she want? Elle didn't know. But she did know that what was done was done, and she wasn't taking that back.
She suddenly remembered the stallions, and almost laughed out loud to think about what their reaction may be. But laughing at the moment would be insult to Dark Lady, which was not something she was after.
