Clamping Hooves (ONE ON ONE RP)

Layla saw the stallion and trotted up to him. "Hello, I'm Layla." she said smiling. She shook her palomino/ buckskin mane. She noticed her brother's hooves' beat coming up behind her.

"Hello sis." he said smirking.

Layla blushed, "Get away Arrow." she said threw gritted teath. She bucked trying to kick her brother away and finally he did. He sighed and walked back in the forest.

Chase looked at Layla, smiling."Hello." He greeted cheerfully."I'm Chase. It's nice to meet you." He looked after the stallion that had gone off into the forest."Was that your brother?" He asked curiously.

After drinking her fill, Sonya laid down near the stream. She lay her head on the ground, and gazed at the stream, her blue eyes watching the current.

"Yeah don't mind him. Nice to meet you too." Layla said still smiling. She looked around and found a clover and offered it to Chase.

Arrow trotted down to the stream and drank some of the cold, refreshing water. He noticed a palomino mare laying down at the other end of the stream. He nickered toward her.

"Thanks." Chase said, taking the clover. He studied Layla, then asked, "So what brings you around here?" He asked, titling his head to one side.

Sonya looked up quickly, and saw a stallion not far off. She stood up, startled. She gave a nicker back.

"Nothing much." Layla replied smiling. She lowered her head and said, "But my herd died off and.." a couple tears ran down her face as she said it.

Arrow, again, nickered back.

Chase looked at Layla with sorry in his eyes. "Oh, I'm so sorry." He said sadly. That must be terrible, to have your herd die off.. He thought.

Sonya started forward, stopping a few feet from the stallion."Hello." She called out shyly to him.

"It's fine, that was years ago." she said trying to smile.

Arrow replied bowing, "hello." he reared and walked over to her.

"Who are you?" Sonya asked politely. Even though she could be shy around new horses, her curiosity always got the better of her.

Chase gave a quick smile. "I know how you feel. Well, I haven't lost a herd before, but I have lost a loved one before." He said sadly.

"Oh, yeah me too." Layla replied. She smiled and lowered her head to graze for a moment. She lifted her head, "My brother and I were the only ones that survived that I know of." she said again.

Arrow replied, "Arrow and you are?" he bowed and stared. He was the kind of stallion who usually shows off.

"I'm Sonya." She said, flicking her tail. She noticed he kept bowing, which made a small smile appear on her face.

"Well, at least you have your brother." Chase said. He thought of something. "I had a sister once, half actually, though I don't know what happened to her." He ended the sentence quietly.
