Beyond the Days (Okami Kodomo (Wolf Children) RP)

A 19 year old girl named Hana falls in love with a mysterious wolf man who seems to have arrived from nowhere. After having children together, the wolfman leaves to go get some food but never returns. Hana and the kids go out to look for him, but find that some garbage men are lifting a large dead wolf out of the river and driving away with it. Hana is forced to raise the wolf children on her own. It was no easy task, caring for children with a wild side..

13 years later, Hana is living alone in the Japanese countryside. Her son, Ame has gone to live in the mountains as a wolf, and her daughter Yuki is staying in the city, living her life as a human. Hana occasionally takes the bus into the city to visit Yuki. And she also meets her son, Ame at the Nature Preserve when he comes down from the mountains.

As a human, a girl of pale skin complection and dark black hair tinted with slight hints of blue. Here eyes are a warm brown with hints of crimson that become more visible when illuminated. As a wolf, she still has her resemblance to her young childhood; cream fur with white underbelly and brown saddle on her back that aligns with the long brown hair on her wolfish head. She often has her human attire wrapped around her neck when a wolf.

Ame sat by the edge of the mountain, looking over the large house in the country where he grew up. He missed his sister so much.

The young girl sat in her dormitory in a smooth wooden chair, leaning over her work desk and reading from a rather thick book. Golden light from her desk lamp washed over the pages as she read and studied hard for the next day's test. Yuki rather enjoyed her life at the Junior High, living as a student and being a normal human. She had faired quite well, making good grades, gathering friends, and keeping her secret well. The only other person who wasn't family but knew of her wolf blood was her friend Seiho. However, the day to day challenges of small little things like ignoring that tasty looking bird in the park, or resisting the urge to bark at another dog would make her just want to run away for an hour or two and romp through the rural pastures with her family again like she had as a pup/toddler. But those days were over now and she had chosen her own human path, and would live up to it. Besides, she's get a break eventually, and she could spend that time visiting her mother and maybe even her brother. For now, it was time to study.

//Hana//
A cool breeze blew in from the open doors of the old country home, whisking away the comforting scents of freshly cooked meat and boiling celery stalks. Hana stirred the multiple contents of her pot, cooking hot on the stove, with a wooden spoon. Her smile, which was rarely ever out of place, stayed constant as she hummed a little tune. From time to time, she would glance over her shoulder at the empty dining table, once placed for three, and expect to see her young Wolf child Yuki eating away with the appetite of three grown wolves, or her son Ame timidly sitting in a chair and watching his sister, or looking out the window. Alas, the table was still unoccupied, the chairs still empty, but that didn't damper Hana's mood. Her children were where they wanted to be, and she knew they were safe. So long as those two factors remained true, the mother would always be content, even if her home was more vacant than it used to be.

Ame decided to go visit his mother, he stood up and ran to the edge of the mountain path, going down to the main road through the countryside. He returned to his human form, his white shirt and jeans intact. He walked the rest of the way to the old house.

As soon as the broth began to boil and the multiple ingredients started to grow darker, Hanna knew she was finished cooking. With delicate fingers she switched off the burners and carefully lifted the pot from it's cooking rack, using the same stirring spoon to gingerly poor a small amount of the stew into a ceramic bowl. The remains of the pot were placed in her fridge to be heated up at a later time. She took her bowl and walked outside, the old wooden board creaking below her feet and giving a reminder of just howl old the house truly was. Sunlight glistened off of the bowl's surface as she stepped outside and sat on the front porch, two chopsticks in hand as she gingerly began eating her food and listened to the outside world. Some time later, foot steps on the dirt path sounded out down the road, causing the woman to look up from her dinner and scan a tall humanoid figure. At first, she thought it was one of the countryside neighbors, but as he neared, her heart skipped a joyful beat as she sat down the bowl and stood up, her eyes glittering in excitement. "Ame?" Yes, from time to time, she would visit her son in the mountains, but it was a real treat to have him come to her.

"Hey mom.." Ame said softly, approaching the house. "How've you been?" He asked, sitting beside her on the porch. "Has Yuki visited you?"

Before they sat down, the mother gently and quickly hugged her son then lowered onto the wooden porch, picking up her steaming bowl and replacing it on her lap so he could sit next to her. "Oh you know me Ame. Content and doing well." She held the bowl in one hand and swept out her arm to gesture in the garden's direction. It was behind the house but large enough for a small portion to be seen from the front. "The potatoes are coming in nicely this spring." Hana smiled kindly and returned her gesturing hand to the bowl. "And no, Yuki hasn't visited me in a while. I'm sure she's doing fine though. Last time I saw her she was making good grades, so I guess she's probably cramming herself with school work or talking to her friends. She'll be getting a break soon I think." The young mother lifted a hand and pressed it to her chin, trying to picture a mental calendar. "Yes... Day after tomorrow maybe..." With a wave of the same hand, she pushed away the thought. "Doesn't matter. It's soon, I'm sure of that. So how have you been yourself?" She smiled to him kindly, though there was nary a time in which she didn't.
