After napping for a few hours, Apollo decided to go to the rock that he always liked to go to. There were trees surrounding the rock, so there was shade on it in some parts, but bright sun hitting it in other places, making it a great place to rest or sunbathe. When he got there, he decided to gaze at the clouds for a moment. He saw one cloud that was shaped like a wolf. But it wasn't just any wolf, it was his sister that he hadn't seen since he was a young pup. The cloud had shapes that looked like laurels on the top of its head and it was in that hunting position that his sister was often seen in. Apollo knew that his sister, Artemis was always a great hunter. She was even better than Apollo himself, and that's tough to beat. She never made a single unsuccessful kill. The memory of Artemis made Apollo feel sad. He really missed her. He then turned to the cloud that was shaped like Artemis, and said "Artemis, wherever you are now, I hope you grew up to be a beautiful young wolf and I hope you're safe. Things have been very chaotic since the world has split into midnight and midday. I just hope you're ok" he finished, with a tear trickling down from his eye...
Artemis at the time was eating the deer she hunted earlier. It was a large deer, and she certainly couldn't finish it herself, so she buried the carcass, to save it for later. She then remembered how she never had any food left over when she was a pup, because back then she shared her meals with her brother that she hadn't seen in ages, Apollo. When the carcass was buried, she decided to go find a good resting spot. She found this tall rock that pointed towards the moon. It was glowing from the moonlight, and it had a flat, smooth surface. She got on the rock, and stared at the moon, her pelt glowing from the moonlight. She thought about Apollo. "Oh Apollo, I miss you so much. I hope you're ok. I miss those days when we play fighted, hunted together, and lived with mother" The thought of when her and her brother's mother died made her feel even sadder. She felt so lonely in the cold, silent world of midnight. She wished that someone else was there with her. She started howling to let out her loneliness. She wasn't just doing any howling, she was howling the melody that Apollo always sang when they were pups...
