This was one of those times when the dragon felt content, resting by her owner's cabin, tail fin swishing every now and then against her nostrils. Her eyes were still open, flicking around the village carefully, it was still her duty to protect the boy. A few soft grunts and snorts came from the Night Fury, and she perked up when she heard the door to the cabin push open, and a familiar human appeared. He gave her head a few pets, and she lifted herself up slowly onto all four legs, dipping her head in a nod and turning to wander off. She never went too far, moving wherever she could still hear if any danger was happening in the village. She carried herself tot he line of trees marking the start off he forest, breathing in any new scents.

Watching his dragon move off, he gave a quiet hum and lifted up a few stray logs by the front door, moving them back inside and nudging away any of the loose bark with the tip of his boot.
