Swiftfoot cantered faster to keep up with Icefang. The she-cat flicked her tail tip, keeping her nose held high to scent any foreign odours. There was only prey-scent. Even that seemed a little less distinct than it usually was. As she walked into the forest, her steps became lighter.

I stopped. "Shhhh...Do you here that?" I turned from the path we had been taking and pounced on a plump squirrel. I came back out of the bushes to show SwiftFoot what I had caught. "Off to a good start already." I said with a smirk. "Let's keep going." I picked up the squirrel and continued forward.

Froststrike shrugged.
"Alright, why not? I guess I'll see you around then..." the young warrior swished her tail and looked around. Her eyes lit up again as her gaze landed on Brightstar this time. "I'll... go help Brightstar!"
In a flash, the she-cat was by her leader's side, blinking at her expectantly.
"Is there anything I could do for you, Brightstar?" she mewed sweetly and slowly nudged Ravenflight aside a bit with her tail. "Whilst you're- um, taking a walk with Ravenflight here?"

➳ ｃｒｅｅｋｐａｗ

Creekpaw jumped onto the next branch, slowly ascending as he made his way after the experienced warrior. He could barely see her as she blended in with the surroundings, even with his sharp eyesight, but he still tried hard to keep up. He was soon out of breath, panting as he plopped down on the branch he was on. And then - crack. Before he could react, the branch snapped and he was plummeting down to the earth below.
No! I can't die! I still have to take care of Mistypaw! I still ha-
Creekpaw's thoughts were cut off abruptly as he hit the ground, the impact leaving him wincing in pain. He heard a sickening crack and yowled in pain and fear. There was a throbbing pain in one of his hind legs, and he couldn't move it.

Swiftfoot kept her head high, eager to catch prey as well. The scent of sparrow drifted past her nose. It was still strong, alerting her that the bird was still there. I've scented something as well, She whispered to the tom, notifying him of the bird scent. Like this morning, she entered a crouching stance and crawled into the bushes to the source. She pounced on it, biting the winged creature. The limp bird was carried in Swiftfoot's maw back to the path.

I can hunt too! She meowed in reply to the tom's remark. I don't need to show off. Swiftfoot purred, stepping forward. Now... are we close to the outskirts of the forest? The she-cat turned over the topic. They had been walking together for a while now. It was quite fun. She did know the forest, but sometimes, it was just trouble to find the end.
