Charlie yawned and got to his paws, slowly. He shook his fur free of all the dead leaves clinging to it and sniffed the air. His stomach growled with intense hunger and he was desperate to find food. The german shepherd picke up the scent of something and padded towards it. His nose brought him to a big green dumpster. Charlie tensed his muscles and leapt up into the dumpster. He found a few food scraps which satisfied his hunger for the moment.

Ariel woke up in her soft, pink bed and got up. She padded over to her food bowl and ate some dog food. Her owner walked into the room and picked Ariel up. The Border Collie puppy licked her owners hands as she was carried out into the backyard. There, Ariel was set down on the grass and left to run about. Ariel put her nose to the ground and sniffed the backyard for any scents. When she got bored of that she started to play with her favourite toy, her pink, rubber bone.

Claymore tipped his head to the side and nodded to the female as he answered her question, "Claymore or Clay."
His eyes studied her, she wore no collar, and she seemed very tempermented around him. His eyes narrowed abit but he decied to not be so blunt with her.
"Are you from around here?" Claymore said his voice husky as the question was slightly serious. Claymore didnt want to see house dogs around where he lived, it made him sick thinking that such pampered creatures tried to live the live he did. So far, she passed the test.

Ashley was in her bed, resting her eyes. She got up at the scent of food. Ashley got up, itched you neck where her collar is, then went to her food bowl. She started to eat, very fast. Soon, she was done, and whined to go outside, to see if she could find a stray. "Hello? Is any stray here?" She kind of yelped.

Shimmer turned in Ashley's direction and growled. She despised dogs with owners, they were the cause of her mother's death. She looked the housetrained dog straight in the eyes, her head held high and her teeth bared. Shimmer waited to see this pampered pooch's reaction.

"Hi! I am Ashley! Who are you?!" She yipped with excitement, but not as much as she stared in her eyes. She started to jump around, going in and out of a play position. She kept panting, more and more. "Come on, who are you!" She yelled a little bit. Ashley heard her owner say, "Stop barking!" Ashley stayed still, looking Shimmer in the eyes.

Lock's ears went up as the food was displayed right at her paws, she lunged down and wolfed down the food like a crazed animal, not careing if the food was too hot. She licked her chops and smiled at Cadoo with pleased eyes.
"Thank you Cadoo," she said with a sincer tone. Maybe not all these house dogs were the same.
"My name is Lock, my nickname is Locky. Both will do," she said with a happy tone. Lock's tail wagged in sheer joy, so happy to have a nice warm feeling in her stomach, she had missed that little thing. Much like she missed a warm house in the winter. No, she wouldnt trade anything for being a stray.
"Hey, you want to take a stroll around where i live? Just to see what i do everyday? We wont be gone long, i know how careing your owners are when it comes to their pets."

Cadoo only thought for a moment. "Sure just gimme a sec okay!" she yapped and ran to the other side of the yard. Suddenly she was on the other side of the fence next to Lock. "So Lock, how about we make a deal. I steal you table scraps, all warm and fresh, and I give you my breakfast every day, and you take me out exploring everyday!" she woofed excitedly. She jumped around happily whating for a response. She usually didn't like strays and would chase them off her sidewalk but, she thought, this one is fine and she would become friends with Lock. However, Lock, and Lock only, would be the only stray she would ever befriend.

Scarlett looked at Claymore and smiled softly. "Well I'm called Scarlett and yeah I'm from around here. I don't really live anywhere but you could say this is my home." she told Clay and smiled softly. "And you can call me Scar if Scarlett is too long for you." she smiled at him again, her tail twitched occasionally as she replied."So are you from round here?" she asked the male.

Lock grinned happy as her tail wagged, this was more easier then she thought. Lock stood up and pointed her muzzle toward the darkerside of town.
"Thats sound wonderful, im sure you'll love what we do around here," she said as she started trotting off, but stopping to wait for Caboo.

Claymore nodded and sat down, now knowing that she was a stray and not some house dog, he was fine with her around. He let his ears relaxe and his tail fall to the ground he smiled.
"Scarlett, pretty name," Claymore said commeting her.
"I wouldnt be anywhere else."

Q bounded down the street, tongue lolling. He stopped and drew in a sharp breath. His teeth automatically bared, but he lowered his lip. He ran toward the scent of other dogs, hoping to meet some new strays. He turned a building, skidding all the way, and saw a two fellow shepherds. His tail wagged slightly, fanning away dirt from the half-paved road. He bakred a greeting "Hello!" He was almost never friendly, but he considered any dog bred to herd a friend.

Scarlett smiled soflty and felt her cheeks burn, meaning they were probably turning a hot shade of pink. "Thanks." she smiled and turned her head away until she had relaxed a bit more. "So what's your story about becoming a stray? You are a stray aren't you? I mean, you do look like a stray. No offence though, it's just you have no collar..." she growled in her head at her babbling. Good going Scar. Great way to show this dog how stupid you are. she heard her self shout in her head and shook her head.
