It took a moment to click that she had, indeed, accepted his invitation. Even after the mess up, she still would be as polite as she was and even go so far as to accept? This was, indeed new. Different from the suck-up purebreds that occupied quite a few of the houses down their particular street. Despite that though, he still hoped she didn't see the flash of curiosity that flashed on his face. Odd, Dumir was usually pretty good about controlling the emotions that crossed his actual face. He attempted to hide it with a soft smile.
"Thank you, Xena."
Dumir turned but did not move as he waited for Xena. He lifted one paw and his round ears were slightly raised as he listened to hear if there were disturbances, such as a pesky human on the other side near the lake, but didn't hear much. And so he turned back to her for a moment as he played the polite host.
"You have landed in quite a prestigious neighborhood, though you do have to occasionally watch for stray cats around here. Lucky not many of the humans on our street enjoy the company of dogs which allows for a nice evening stroll, though with no dogs to chase them off, other cats like to sun at the lake. It can be quite bothering, but usually they don't mingle with the purebreds so most of us don't have to worry about them."
He could have continued to talk for ages, but again had to restrain himself. Talking to a chatter-box was not always pleasant, so he paused for a moment, inviting her to say something before he continued.
I wish I had a unicorn,
So I could fly away.
Where fun isn’t worn,
Nor people do mourn,
This is where dreams are born.

And if there was a place like this,
Would not it be quite grand?
To jump and play in fevered bliss,
Where no one can just stand?
I long to have a unicorn,
So I could learn to fly,
Yet dreams hold scorn
. . . . . .For hopes highborn,
. . . . . .And unicorns yet to fly. we are NOT holibombers, but we will sometimes give gifts
