Ezmerelda strained with her magic to see where Screwball was. There was no signal. "There's no signal!" She yelped, as if she had been bitten. This was bad news, really bad! If there was no signal... Ezmerelda gulped nervously.

"Screwball must be..." Ezmerelda couldn't say it. Funny little Screwball who always seemed so happy, must be....

Ranger watched the others leave, then backed out of the house and headed back into the woods. She needed to get home before the sun rose. Ugh. Stupid Ezmerelda. Stupid Allie. What did they think they were doing?! she thought, glancing around the trees for any signs of timber wolves.

Insane lifted his head as he saw Ranger he slitherd over.
