ageHatter is currently 33 moons of age.
genderrankHatter is currently a loner, but will be a warrior upon joining the clan. He will aspire to be leader, or deputy.
kinGryphon - Father
Duchess - Mother
Rabbit - Brother
Queen - Sister
Newt - Half-sister
personalityTo start off, Hatter is a loyal and bold tom, who seems to always have a desire to prove himself to his clan, and that he is a feline worthy of the title Warrior. Despite his appearance, Hatter is quite a nice tom, trying his best to be compassionate and fair to those around him. This is just a challenge however, when another cat decides to poke the bear with a stick, and try and get on his nerves. As nice as dear Hatter is, even the nicest of cats have a limit to their patience, and this tom can be quick to turn on someone, and throw a few nasty words here and there. Sure, the tom would enjoy digging his claws into the sorry pelt of a cat he disliked, but even then, sometimes words could cause far more damage psychologically, compared to the physical pain of shredding an enemy to pieces. Hatter has a poor outlook on himself, but can be rather hypocritical when it comes to such, due to the fact he'll tell others off for thinking lowly of themselves, but easily do it to himself. After all, he isn't worth someone's pity, his clan mates are far more valuable than he, using his logic. Despite this minor setback, Hatter is quite a nice guy, having a brilliant sense of humour, and absolutely enjoying the company of others.'
Another thing about Hatter is that he struggles to be alone for long periods of time. This tom gets lonely rather easily, and even though the quiet time can be nice, Hatter always craves social interaction, though he is rather selective as to who he talks to. He's quick to judge cats around him, labeling them as either 'mousebrains' or 'intelligent', though he won't make his choices known to other cats, unless he's close to them.
Hatter can be a bit weird from time to time, having some rather odd things to say here and there, but's that just what makes Hatter, well, himself.
historyTo say that Hatter's birth was a wanted one, well, that would be a lie. You see, Hatter, and his siblings were an accident; a simple mistake between a few two-legs, and the desire to make a pedigree line of cats perfect for showing. But, if you put the wrong cats together, you get the wrong genetic mix, and then you're stuck with a bunch of kittens you don't even want. Hatter parents, Gryphon and Duchess, they didn't love one another, so it was clear that Duchess was more than happy to see the father of her kits taken back to his home, and she was quite happy to raise her kits (which she loved dearly, despite the setback) herself. Duchess had given birth to three kits, and she decided to name the largest, and strongest one Rabbit, her only daughter Queen, and that left one last kit, who she named Hatter, for the fact that whenever he was left alone, he would shred their master's hats.
The three kits lived with their mother for a while, but as soon as they were old enough, they were taken away from Duchess and sold to a local pet store, to live out a few moons of their life in cages, staring up hopefully at ugly faces which pressed themselves against the class. Queen was the first to go, then Rabbit, but Hatter was left behind. He was getting old, and the pet store was becoming desperate to sell him, even offering him for free to those who passed. But no one was interested in the tom, and he was more than happy to be let out into the street, the owner being convinced that Hatter would not be sold to anyone.
In a new environment, it had to be pure coincidence that this tom happened upon Newt, a young she-kit who had been let out into the street, for similar reasons as he. The two become close friends, and upon requesting Newt's lineage, the tom discovered that the two of them shared the same father, Gryphon. Neither of them were happy with the discovery, upon realisation that their father, in a way, was a tool, but there was no point in reminiscing on what was wrong, but it was better to move on, and leave the past behind them.
The duo started to travel, exploring nearby places and meeting new friends (and foes), and it was not uncommon that the two would get into trouble. It was usually Hatter's fault, and after a few run-ins, Newt and Hatter started to argue with one another, generally often over the smallest of things. And with this, it was only a moon or two ago that the two split, going their own separates, for the sake of both of them. Hatter would one day like to be reunited with his sister, but he is not worried at when this could occur.
romanceHatter does not have much of an interest in she-cats at this time, but will one day pursue a romantic interest.

personalityNewt is the type of cat that has a good love for a story. Newt is a natural born story teller with a passion for telling the younger ones stories and legends. Storytelling is like the air in her lungs, and Newt sometimes finds herself sitting in with the queens, telling the kits the same story over and over again, just because they want to hear that particular one. She doesn't really mind, though, Newt isn't much for socialising with those older than her, so she's just fine hanging out with the kits and the apprentices. Newt seems rather distant and cold, and this is partially true. Newt is thoughtful and rather creative, and this makes her distant to her fellow warriors. She isn't too good at hunting or combat, but she was more so designed to devise plans and be stealthy. She's not very good at socialising, and finds it a bit of a challenge to cope in large groups, which explains why she tends to float around, moving away when patrols are being sent out. It's not like she wants to be social, anyway. Newt is under the impression that other cats find her odd, which she doesn't really mind. Although she refuses to admit it, Newt has a severe phobia of rejection. Newt is scared to socialise with others, especially males, due to the fact that if she asked them to be her mate, they would turn around and laugh in her face. Newt is uncertain as to why she is so concerned, but it's something that she tries to avoid like the plague, which is why she is so antisocial towards cats the same age. However, she does desire to have a family someday, and she can only hope that she one day, is no longer afraid.
historyAh, dear Newt. The she-cat who wasn't wanted by her parents, nor by those who had taken her in. To be rather simplistic, Newt's mother, Blue, gave birth to two small kits. One, a beautiful she-cat of which she named Daisy, and a small, scruffy kit she gave the name Newt. Gryphon didn't have much of an interest in either of his children, and was quick to leave the family when he could, Blue not really caring about her mate. As soon as Newt was of age, she was out the door and to a pet shop down the road from her home, where she sat around for hours on end, not really bothering to even try and go to a new home. For she had other interests at heart. She had heard the stories of the wonders outside the four walls, and she knew what she wanted, and it was to go there.
As quick as she got there, Newt was out the door, and into the streets, the feeling of excitement clear within her as a light breeze ruffled her fur. It was here that she met Hatter, an older tom with a similar fate to her, and the two were quick to become friends, sharing homes together, eating together and playing around. It was a surprise to her that Hatter asked about her parents, and the expression on his face upon her answers alerted her to the fact something wasn't right. It was here that the two discovered that they shared the same father, and that they were half siblings. This saddened Newt greatly, as over the time, she had developed romantic feelings for Hatter, and it would be downright inappropriate for them to be in love. She never told Hatter this, instead saying that she was disappointed in her father, and neither of them said anything about it after that.
The two began to travel, and it was here that Newt and Hatter began to drift apart, often bickering and squabbling with one another, blaming the other for things that went wrong. One day, young Newt had simply had enough, and decided to go on her own way, turning her back on her brother and leaving one evening after their meal (and argument). As much as she would not admit it, Newt does indeed miss her brother, and would like to see him again one day.
romanceNewt isn't one to focus on romance. Perhaps later on, she will find someone of interest.
