Blossomtail sat down in the cold snow, frustrated that she wasn't able to find any prey to fill her hollow stomach. Suddenly, something shot out from behind a tree. It was a rabbit! Although the she-cat got a late start on going after the rabbit, she sprinted off after it and easily caught up to it. She stretched out her claws and managed to grab hold of gray rabbit running in front of her. Once she had a firm hold on the prey, she brought it in to her, slowing to a stop and quickly killing the rabbit before it could put a fight and possibly escape. She smiled, clearly happy she had finally found something to eat.
Now that her belly was full, she began making her way to the tree that was in the middle of the valley, where all the cats seemed to be heading. She really had had no idea where all these cats had come from.

➟ "Stupid slippery snow... Stupid cold weather... Stupid voices... Stupid old oak..." Grey mumbled and hissed to himself has he made his way down another hill. Every now and then he would slip up, rewarding the air with a Few worlds like... "Fox-dung! Such a pain in my tail! Dirt!". Then Grey snapped his trap shut as he spotted another cat up ahead, a cat named Blossom. He didn't know who this she-cat was but he paid no mind to her. He quickened his pass and passed her, flicking his tail unhappily. Stupid ice.... Stupid world... Stupid traveling! He thought to himself, glaring back at the she-cat every now and then. He never liked any other cat, rather being far away from every single one of them. He was an aggressive cat, but that's because he got to know any other cats. Thats the only reason why is was being so hostile.

Reddish coughed again as he set off along the path. There was a small woodland right up ahead, and there had to be water somewhere!
And yet, when he reached the treeline his legs were already shaking, and his breath rattled wheezingly in his chest. He still drew himself up, however, and tried in vain to hide the effects of his illness; he didn't want to be viewed as weak, and if he was attacked by a passing rogue, it would not bode well with him.
Just as he passed through the branches of the first trees, the scent of many, many cats hit him in the muzzle. He stiffened slightly but kept on walking; to have company would be a pleasant change to the ever darkening days. Maybe I'll even find someone who shares similar nightmares to the ones I have, he thought.
He slowly became more and more aware of voices, cats' voices murmuring in the forest. A yowl sounded, "Is anyone else out there?"
A sudden impulse seized him and he called out, "Who speaks from among the trees?"
He certainly did not expect to come face to face with a she-cat when he turned the corner. He stumbled back, eyes widened.
He answered, a trifle nervously, "Hi there; I am Reddish. I didn't really expect to meet any other cats around here," he added apologetically. He gazed at the she-cat curiously. "Who are you?"

a yawn escaped minnow's lips as she blinked open her weary eyes. after her meal the night before, she had allowed herself a rest. however her sleep was anything but peaceful as her mind was tainted with tireless voices 'travel foreword minnowcloud, find the oldest oak, the end is near.' these voices were all too familiar to minnowcloud, and she did her best to block them out. i have to keep moving. minnow pushed herself to her paws, which shook beneath her weight. she had made more progress on her journey than she thought she would, and figured she could reach the oak by nightfall.

fluffing up her thick tabby fur, minnow still shivered as the crisp air chilled her damp pelt to the bone. yet she pushed onward, hopping over branches, and dragging herself through thick piles of snow. she walked as long as she could, until her paws went numb, and she stopped to lick the feeling back into them. 'i know I can make it, but I have to push myself. she thought, trudging on.

The sun slowly began to rise into the dull morning sky, illuminating the forest around it with its multitude of rays that shone down below. A magnificent array of colours danced across the sky, a colourful blanket being thrown over the dull, black table of the sky. Hatter yawned, his paws a little sore from all of the walking. He hadn't stopped all night, and was glad, for soon, both he and Silver would be at the oak. He wasn't sure how far away they were; perhaps half a day or so away, but if he didn't stop, they would have a chance at getting there before the other cats, and Silver would be able to compose her thoughts so she would successfully execute the task that had been laid out for her by those voices in the sky. But, they would have to stop sooner or later; Hatter had to hunt for them both, and make sure that Silver was alright. He would also need to sit down for a while, just so he could regain some of his energy back. He was exhausted, but his prioritising meant that getting to the Oak was far more important than how he felt. They had to get there.

His brisk trotting slowed down to a walk, which allowed Hatter to get another good glimpse of the sunrise. Sooner or later, Silver would probably wake up, and she would be hungry, like he. "I should probably try to find a small pond or river nearby..." Hatter murmured to himself, stopping to scent the air and close his eyes, focusing on the sounds around him. Surely, there had to be some unfrozen water, somewhere. But there was none for the time being, and Hatter sighed, before trotting off again at a brisk pace, ignoring the dull pain that he was starting to feel in his paws.

The tom stumbled back, clearly surprised by her entrance, and Newt snorted, flicking her tail. She wasn't that scary looking, was she? He seemed a tad nervous, but Newt understood the feeling. After all, it was a bit odd for a fluffy cat to just appear out of nowhere and introduce themselves. As the tom introduced himself as Reddish, and added in that he didn't expect to see any other cats, Newt dipped her head in a civil greeting, flicking her ears as Reddish requested her name. He seemed nice enough, and didn't seem to have an interest in ripping her pelt off, so introducing herself didn't seem too bad of an idea. "A pleasure, Reddish." Newt replied, looking down at the young tom. "My name would happen to be Newt. It's nice to meet you." Her blue eyes peered down at the tom, and she tilted her head to the side. "You travelling by yourself, bud?" she asked. "Do excuse me for prying, just sheer curiosity."

➟ "Whys... the ground moving..." Silver mumbled, then she remembered Hatter. Cracking her blue eyes open, scanning the area. She jumped seeing that the sun was rising, making the she-cat fall off of the toms back into the snow. "Goomm Sumup...[Good Sunup -Good morning in warrior terms c:-}" The small tabby mumbled face down in the snow. Slowly rising to her paws, Silver shook the snow out of her pelt. "I over slept... Oh my... Please forgive me, I haven't slept that well in a very long time." Glancing at her paw quickly, it seemed to be a lot better from not being used. I'll be able to walk on my own now, sadly enough. What a comfy way to travel.... Her stomach started to growl, as she licked her lips. "Hatter, as for thanks, I want you to make yourself comfortable somewhere and allow me to hunt. My paw feels a lot better thanks to you. Now its my turn to aid you." Silver said quietly, looking at the tom who seemed exhausted. Hunting was this she-cats best talent, which was also her favorite thing to do. "I wont take off I promise." She purred playfully as she waited for a reply back.

He had began to hum a soft tune as a way to lessen the silence around him, and Hatter yawned again, hearing Silver stir and mumble something within his fur. The weight on his back was taken away immediately as the she-cat jumped off his back and face-planted the snow. Hatter turned and laughed, shaking his head as the she-cat murmured a good morning and shook the snow from her pelt. What is it with you and snow?" The tom laughed, shaking his head once again. "No need to apologise, I'm glad you slept well, you needed it." Taking this as a chance for a break, Hatter sat down, curling his tail around his paws and sighing in relief. Though, his look was one of concern as Silver offered to hunt, and Hatter blinked a few times, before deciding to respond. "Are you sure, lass? I can hunt for myself, I don't mind," he spoke, before sighing and nodding as Silver said she wouldn't disappear on him. "Well, alright, but as soon as that paw starts to cause you grief, stop. Okay? I don't want you to injure yourself worse than what you were." Hatter yawned and positioned himself into a laying position, looking over at Silver. "May the sun warm your back and the prey jump into your paws." Hatter spoke, his tone leaking with exhaustion. He dropped his head and closed his eyes, immediately succumbing to the depths of sleep, a soft snore coming from his stocky frame.
