Life Sure is Hard (Stray Dog RP) 1 ON 1 RP!

Scarlett noticed the tree hollow and quickly padded after her friend. Just to be sure she too sniffed the air, only scenting Cricket's and her own. "This seems good enough." she sighed slightly and curled up inside it, her head peeping out the entrance slightly so she could see if anything was coming. So far nothing so she closed her eyes.

The first lights of dawn shone in from the gap in the tree. Cricket yawned, got up, and stretched. They had to leave town today. Prodding Scarlett awake, Cricket exited the makeshift den and out onto the dawy morning grass. "We should start early," she said to Scar, blinking the last of the sleepyness from her eyes. "Better to start now, than later, when it's hot." she sighed.

Scarlett groaned as she felt a sharp prod in her side. She lifted her head and slowly managed to open her tired eyes. She closed them quickly as the bright sun light shone on her. She shook her head and stepped out, blinking her eyes quickly till she got used to the sun's bright rays. She made a long yawned and stretched her legs in the traditional doggy position. She glanced around and nodded. "You're right." she yawned again.

Cricket chuckled. "Aren't I always?" she teasted, shaking scraps of moss from her coarse black fur. "We should try to find food, or hunt." she said, looking around.

Scarlett grinned slightly but didn't laugh. "You're right." she laughed that time but managed to control herself. "We should try some dumpsters around the back of shops." she suggested.

"Mmm good idea." Cricket said, trotting in the direction of the nearest store. This one was a pet shop; a small, fluffy dog pranced out wearing a bringt pink shirt, followed by it's owner, who looked strinkingly similar to the dog. Cricket wrinkled her nose but said nothing, turning to the next store. This one, she realized, was a bakery.

Scarlett watched as the tiny dog in a frilly pink skirt trotted by. "Must be a chihuahua(sp?)" she muttered to herself and shook her head. How could people dress up their dogs as humans? It made her mad but she shook the thought from her head and smiled when she caught the scent of something warm and thick. "That smells amazing." she smiled, her tongue lolling from her mouth hungrily.

Cricket nodded, agreeing silently with her friend. "Now all we have to do is get inside. I'll destract the baker, you get the bread." she said, a devious look in her eyes, and trotted across the street, and into the bakery.

Scarlett nodded and smiled hungrily. Anything seemed good at the moment. She ran behind the shop corner and waited for her friend to distract to baker.

Barking wildly at the baker, Cricket grabbed his apron, tugging on it feircly. She towed him outside, dodging blows as he tryed to get her off him. She let go of him, and he swung at her. She danced out of the way just in time, every time he swung. She darted behind him and barked, and he swung faster than she expected at her. He clipped the side of her head with his fist, dazing her momentarily. He grabbed her collar, yanking upwards. Cricket sunk her teeth into his arm, and he let go immediatly. She bolted back across the street and waited.
