"Valiente, what should we do?" Sugar said. You could tell from her voice that Demo's pain was hurting her too, but emotionally. "Should I get my housefolk?"

Valiente pulled back, and Demo's wailing abruptly stopped. Tawny kept on licking, and Demo was whimpering, then Tawny stopped and no noises came from Demo.

Rascal was quiet too now.

Sugar kept licking Demo, She pulled him to her belly with her tail.

Valiente hissed at Sugar,
"Stop! It hurts when you lick him!"

Demo's wailing had started up again with Sugar's licking.

Sugar stopped licking him so fast it would make blinking look slow. Really, unless you were looking closely you couldn't see her stop, just that ina split second she wasn't licking him anymore.

Demo snarled, then stood up and stalked over to a corner of the room.
