A tear ran down her cheek

"No, no. Don't cry. Who is this tom you are talking about, anyways?" He brushed the tear off of her cheek with his tail.

"He's my friend, and I love him. But I don't think he feels the same way with me. And he has a great mate." Tears were rolling down now

[Scarlett;]

"Please don't cry. It hurts me to see such a great cat cry like this." He looked at her. "You dont mean me, do you?"

She just nodded and raced away, into the forest.
Just before dissappearing into the dark shadows, she mouthed
'I do, mean you. And that's why I didn't want to tell you.' She then faded into the shadoe,ws of the forest

[Scarlett;]

He stood there, stunned. "I really like you, too." he whispers to no one and laid down in the grass, sobbing.

She heard him sobbing and looked at him, on the ground.
She then walked to him
"I just know I ruined our friendship. I'll go away, I just wanted you to know that you were a great friend and I'll miss your smile."
She then started to walk away

[Scarlett;]

"No, wait!" he called.

She then stopped in her tracks
"Yes."

[Scarlett;]

He ran up to her, and nuzzled the young warrior. "Please don't go. I love you too, Mouseheart."
