Shadowpaw smiled, wrapped in her own thoughts. She looked up. "Over here." She turned to the left, and into the training hollow.

Ravenpaw nodded, following her. This was going to be his first real lesson, not counting the kit battles. "So what are we learning first?" he asked, smiling.

She finally pushed away her thoughts, hoping no cat had seen her. She lied down by the apprentice den, resting her head on her paws, with her tail flicked over her muzzle so Stormface would think she had been to get it checked out.

Ravenpaw only had time to blink before Shadowpaw soared over him. Well, I'm going to need to lay off the freshkill if I'm hoping to move that fast, he thought, spinning around to face her, ready to match her movements.

Stormface padded stiffly out of the warriors den. He growled as he realised his back still felt like fox-dung. He winced as he made his way to the fresh-kill pile.
