Akane looked over at Thorn, what was he looking over at her for? She was just an assassin... She soon snapped out of it, giving Thorn a quick nod. "There wasn't much there while I was scavenging... Just a few scraps of food here and there, some birds picking at it..." She shrugged, there wasn't as much as usual... " She moved her gaze to the sky, sighing as she watched the storm. "We should wait a little bit, go out turning the eye of the storm. We wouldn't have long, but just enough to get a patrol done without all the extra risk."

Dante nodded and stretched. "I agree." he said flicking his tail. He glanced at Akane, lifting a brow when he saw a rather odd expression on her face.

Akane smiled at Dante before looking back at the sky. It reminded her of years ago, when she was born. It was a stormy day like this, the night her mother's whole litter, apart from her, had died... Her mother had been so upset that she had rejected Akane, so her father had raised her. But he wasn't the best role model for the growing pup and soon enough, he left her in the paws of a local pack...
She sighed, the storm reminding her of just ow much she hated her father. She moved her gaze off the storm and to her paws, frowning as she shuffled them, not really sure what to do next.

Dante watched her for a moment, feeling her pain come off in wave lengths from her pelt. Putting his head between his paws he glanced away, wondering..."You okay?" he asked, glancing at her once more.

Akane snapped out of it at the sound of Dante's voice. "What? Yes, yes. I'm alright. Don't worry..." She sighed, looking back at the storm with a small frown. She shook her head, looking back at her pack mates. She couldn't worry about that now... Not exactly the right time for that...

Dante knew she was still bothered by something, but said nothing. Rolling over in the grass he began rolling in the dew, enjoying the feel of the fresh grass scent and water droplets being crushed against his pelt.

Akane looked down at Dante, smiling. He looked like he was having fun, but she didn't join him... No matter how much it tempted her...
She would watch, there were always scouts from the other packs trying to snatch whatever they could grab from you while you weren't watching. You needed to be careful to live in an environment like this. You had to be tough, to learn how to live life on the edge, and how to guard whats yours.
