Shadepaw dipped her head. "I've never tried killing a bird before, and how am I supposed to tell them apart?" She sat down and looked at Snow. "And don't cats have longer names than 'Snow'?"

Snow hissed. "Yes,Kitty-cat!and you CAN tell.DID you notice the size of the chicks?Huge,huge things!Sparrows are tastier and everything!"

Shadepaw slightly backed up. "I'm sorry..."

Snow calmed down. "Sorry," She grumbled. "I havent had a meal in a moon,my mate just died,and Bell Found a camp,i beleive."

Shadepaw had managed to keep one of the dead chicks. She dropped it on the ground in front of Snow. "Here" she said, nudging it towards Snow. "It must be better than nothing... even if they do taste like dirt."

"Thanks," she grumbled,eating the chick. "Try the nest on that three," she mumbled, flicking her tail to a tiny tree. "A sparrthow lithes there."

Shadepaw quickly licked her scratch, before climbing the tree and hopping onto the first branch. she proceeded to the next one, where a nest sat. "I can only see these small, round things..." she meowed uncertainly.

"Eggs," Snow said cutting her off. "Just pick up the nest in your jaws and put it where you sleep so it stays warm,and wait for the eggs to turn into chicks.

Shadepaw picked up the nest and carefully brought it down the tree trunk. "What if the mother bird sees me- will it attack? And do grown up sparrows taste good? And what happens if the eggs don't stay warm? I have so many questions-" She stopped. "I talk too much, don't I? That's what everyone says."
