Rainpaw shrugged. "Oh, it's nothing.. My past is a walk through the clearing compared to yours... She sighed, staring once more into those mesmerizing yellow eyes of Wolfpaw's. If I want Wolfpaw to be my friend, I'm going to have to trust him.. she thought silently. The she-cat took a deep breath. "I was born a loner. When... When I was first born, I had two other sisters. Both were stillborn.. My mother, she was a sensitive cat... She was so distraught, overcome with grief, that she dumped me in front of MapleClan's camp entrance and left me there. I never saw her again...." Rainpaw choked. She had never shared that with anyone. She choked back a sob, her wide blue eyes moist with tears.
Flamepaw frowned, his pumpkin-colored eyes warm with empathy for the she-cat. "I feel the same way sometimes," he admitted. "I don't have any kin in the clan, and I feel like people judge me for not being clan-born." He sighed and flashed Softpaw a weak smile.
