Maskedheart smiled.
"Fine. Go see what you can catch. If you catch a bird or squirrel we'll do some easy training tomorrow." Maskedheart padded out into the forest, looking over her shoulder for her apprentice.

Dovepaw pranced after maskedheart. Then she tasted the air, and smelled a mouse. Dovepaw looked at her mentor and flicked hair tail, her head cocked as if asking can I get it?

Maskedheart nodded, also smelling the mouse. She padded silently away to find her own prey.

Upon smelling a thrush, she dropped into the hunter's crouch. There it was, unprotected on the ground, back turned to her.
Moving silently, Maskedheart pounced and with a bite to the neck it was dead. She buried it under a bit of dirt and moved away, looking for the next kill.

Dovepaw crouched down, and crawled forward quickly. Not being a good hunter, she stepped on a twig, and the mouse ran away. Dovepaw growled in frustration. "I am horrible at hunting" she groaned.

Maskedheart smiled and shrugged.

"We all have our flaws," she mewed, smiling. "Yours is your mouse-brain!"
She collapsed in a fit of laughter, probably scaring off all the prey in the forest.

Dovepa gasped in fake horror. She tried not to, but she broke out in giggles. "Niiice." she said. Dovepaw didn't really like getting teased, but that was a good one.

Maskedheart caught her breath and sat up.

"Thanks, I do my best. Anyways, we'd best be heading back to camp. It's getting late."

"aaw!" dovepaw whined. Then she shook herself, and thought 'i sound like a kit!' "Oh, and um, Maskedheart...Do you uh, know where Trufflepaw is?" Dovepaw asked. She shuffled her paws around in the dirt.

"No, I don't. Why do you a-" she started, and then it hit her.

"Somebody likes Trufflepaw!" Maskedheart giggled and smiled teasingly, winking at Dovepaw. "Don't worry, I won't tell anyone!"

Dovepaw felt her pelt get hot. "Please don't tell anyone!!" she begged "especially any of the apprentices. Or their mentor!" dovepaw looked at maskedheart. "wait...who do you like?" Dovepaw asked her mentor.
