Sunkit woke up and yawned. She stood and was jealous to see Ravenkit eating with Stemkit. The kit tried to push the thought away but she couldn't. The sun shone in the sky, warming her pelt as she walked to Ravenkit.

Stemkit turned to see her sister walking towards them. "Hi Sunkit!" she mewed happily "We saved you some thrush."

Sunkit
Sunkit sighed quietly and padded up to the kits. She took a couple small bites of the thrush, not very hungry.

Stemkit watched her sister with concern. She nudged her gently forward. "Come on eat up." Stemkit mewed "You'll be as thin as a twig at this rate."

"I'm not very hungry..." Sunkit mewed and took another bite. It's no use.. I should just give up on Ravenkit. He has better options than me. The kit thought bitterly.

Frostgale sighed. He padded up to Ravenkit. " It seems you will need time to heal. I'm sorry to say but it might take your apprenticeship held back. " he mewed sternly.

Stemkit gasped at Frostgale's words. "But can't you do something to help him? There has to be a herb or something!" she mewed

Frostgale sighed. He shook his head. " I tried everything. It's broken but will take much time to heal. " he mewed.

Stemkit begun to absorb what this really meant for Ravenkit and felt disrepair for the kit.

Sunkit looked at Ravenkit, how she mourned for him. "Can I refuse to be an apprentice for awhile?" She asked, hoping that if she had a good enough excuse, it could happen.
