Growing up, Pisces never had much of an example, per say. At a young age, Pisces' and Mordecai's parents abandoned them. Or, they were killed. Pisces never actually figured it out, but the point was he grew up without a parental figure of any kind. Being the younger brother next to Mordecai, he didn't exactly have the best role model. While Mordecai went for the "troubled child" role, Pisces became the more mature parent between them. He quickly found being the parent for Mordecai was harder than he thought, so he devoted most of his time and energy into trying even harder for it. So, they spent most of their days living in a nearby forest, where they had made a mix of a fort and a treehouse. But since they were growing up, both of them wanted to find a new life outside of just a forest. For a few years, the brothers moved on and on, until eventually found the other pets and made their home.
Personality:
Pisces is possibly the nicest dog you'll ever meet. Reserved and polite, he never interrupts and always respects others, even if they are seriously getting on his nerves. He always thinks through his actions and rarely rushes into anything, unless he knows what he's doing. He does grow close to others fairly quickly, and generally is more in touch with his emotions than most. Due to this, he tends to more devastated, or angered, or excited, than others. Adding to this, Pisces is very child-like and innocent, despite also being mature and reserved at times. He can overly optimistic, naive, kind, expressive, and sometimes nervous.
Ah yes, Pisces is incredibly anxious, to the point of being paranoid. He rarely does anything unless he knows the outcome, or if the outcome is positive no matter what. That's why he needs someone to egg him on to do different things. He can be utterly unreasonable with his fears, but will eventually conquer them, especially if someone helps him. Otherwise, he is very polite, if not shy and paranoid.

After his parents disappearing, or dying, or abandoning them, Mordecai became more protective over Pisces, despite the latter being more mature. After all, after losing both parents, the two had to keep together. And to be perfectly honest, Mordecai couldn't bear to part with his younger brother. As they matured, Mordecai tried to become what he thought Pisces' role model would be: a brave, heroic knight in shining armor who saved the princess. But Pisces didn't think this was who he wanted to be, so he became the near opposite. Still, Mordecai remained the knight who he thought was a good example for his brother. But, later, Mordecai grew tired of living in the forest and he and Pisces eventually moved on, and found a new home.
Personality:
Mordecai is essentially the polar opposite of Pisces.
Brave, rash, and sometimes an utter jerk, Mordecai couldn't be more unlike his brother. While Pisces is nervous around girls, Mordecai basically has girls throwing themselves at him. It may be because he's the typical "bad boy" type or because he's just that good with girls. He is a bad boy though; rarely listening to reason (namely Pisces), dark clothes, and the highlights in his fur. Mordecai has a twisted sense of humor, and frequently pulls pranks on other pets. He also cracks jokes that should be offensive, but he never means them. Plus, he is rather vain and constantly brags about the tiniest of things. Often times, he is impulsive to the point of being compulsive. Also, he can rarely ever go a day without disagreeing with his brother. Still, Mordecai isn't all bad. He does at least try to get his brother outside and meeting people. When he isn't being a show-off or an angsty teenager, he actually is heroic and brave for those around him. And he doesn't try to hit with every girl. Plus, he has Chrysti, his fairy, to help him do the right things, even if she is a pain at times. Still, he is a bit of a flirt that really should listen to others more often. But, it's not like he's a bad guy, he's just a bit if a teenager.
