Frozenstorm looked over at her apprentice. "Hey! Why are you trailing so far back?" she gave him a lopsided grin. "I thought you might want to mark the border today!"

Darkpaw rolled his eyes. "Sure, let's do that." he meowed, speeding up his pace to catch up. "Can we have a hunting lesson too? I heard that a lot of the apprentices already know how to hunt."

Frozenstorm tipped her head. "Well, didn't we just do that yesterday?" was her mind playing tricks on her? "Or was that battle practice..."

"Battle practice," Darkpaw replied. "We havent done any hunting yet."

[Kess]

"Oh." Frozenstorm sighed. "Sorry, I don't mean to be so airheaded..." She couldn't put into words how she was feeling. She sighed. "All right. well, let's go."

"Its ok," Darkpaw replied, wishing he could make ehr feel better but not knowing what to say. He figured being silent was the ebst because everything he could say would probably get her mad."

Frozenstorm trotted in the direction of the border, her tail sticking out straight like a dog's. She tried to clear her mind of what had happened last night, but thoughts kept coming back to her and she couldn't keep her smile away for long. When they reached the border she turned to her apprentice. "All right. Mark that rock and that tree."
