Cherryleaf smiled at Eaglewing "That sounds good" and then she looked down at her kit "It's okay, just never go out on your own again. You scared me a lot, have you learned your lesson though?" she asked.

Burrkit watched worriedly as Badgerkit was carried back to camp, dripping wet and shivering. "Glad I didn't fall in the river." He thought, watching the water rush over the rocks near the bank. Hoping that the other cats wouldn't see him, he started to sneak off. Maybe he could catch a mouse!

Cherryleaf turned around to make sure she hadn't lost anyone and she saw Burrkit "Burrkit, get over here NOW" she meowed sharply.

Burrkit froze. "Awwwww!" he moaned, tail dragging, as he slowly turned around. "I was going to catch a mouse! Why can't I be an apprentice? I'm almost six moons old!" He continued to grumble to himself as he stalked mutinously back.

Eaglewing went over to Burrkit and gently grabbe his scruff,"Because you aren't six moons. You'll be an apprentice soon but you have to wait."

Badgerkit nodded his head furiously. "Yes....am I not going to be an apprentice now?"

Bluejay pulled himself from the river, water driPping from his blue grey fur. "Is everyone alright?" he meowed, blinking calmly at the other cats before he shook himself.

Shadowwhisper - Deputy

The black tom watched, observing from the bank and walked over when Bluejay made it back, helping him out of the water some. "Good job." he mewed with a nod of his head before walking away over to Cherryleaf and Eaglewing, making sure the kits didn't try to run off, listening to Burrkit complain was nothing new with kits, but Badgerkits question caught him and he smiled, a quiet laugh as he addressed the kit. "Kit's make mistakes Badgerkit, it happens all the time. You weren't the first to run out and into the river.. and you won't be the last." he mewed, hoping to reassure the kit.

Cherryleaf smiled as she heard Shadowwhisper answer Badgerkit's question, "Yes, just like Shadowwhisper said you will be fine Badgerkit, I promise and if you aren't made an apprentice, I will yell at Jaystar until he does. Or better yet I will get Foxstreak to yell at him to" she meowed with a hint of laughter.

Badgerkit smiled and looked up at Shadowwhisper. "Really?" He wiped his eyes with a paw. "You are nicer than you look." His attention switched to his mother,"I wanted to be like you and dad. You two go out in the forest and protect the clan."
