Duskfeather pricked her ears up and jumped to her feet. "What are you doing here? You should be asleep!" her voice had no gentle touch in it like when the other warriors spoke to kits.

"DuskFeather! That is no way to speak to kits." EmberLeaf growled. He picked up the two kits and Placed them near their mother.

Rabbitswift looked back as the kit and his mother headed into the nursery and resumed her "post" in the middle of camp. She still had to sit vigil, even with the excitement.

Emberleaf lied back down in front of the nursery.

Duskfeather muttered "I was just trying to help" Then slunk back in position to keep watch, thinking furious thoughts. I was just trying to help! No one asked me to keep watch and the warriors are still grumpy.she sighed and decided that Next time a kit came out, she would grab it, and dump the kitten back in, no questions. Satisfied, she lay down outside the nursery and kept still.

Maplestream came back with two mice while Pebblestream came back with a vole. Maplestream stopped to look at the new warriors with sympathy. She understood how restless they might me.

EmberLeaf woke up again as the Sun rose.

Pebblestream was the first to talk to the new warriors. "You can go get some rest" she meowed to them. "You deserve it" she said, pointing her tail at both of them.

Rabbitswift let out a breath of relief and slowly and sleepily padded towards the warrior den. I'm a warrior now, not an apprentice, she told herself.

"Congrats, you three." Emberleaf meowed to the new warriors.
