"Yes, I would love to join." Shimmer answered Scarlett happily. Her tail was now wagging like crazy and her eyes were glistening with happiness. Even though her paw hurt like crud Shimmer still jumped up and down 3 times.

Cobalt turned and made her way to the ground."We'll just forget her for now,"She muttered, turning her muzzle toward Bella."I need to take you to Rocky soon or he'll have my hide."

Bella nodded silently and jumped after Cobalt.

Jenna saw the german shepherd behind the fat butcher and she winked. She pushed against the butcher's chest and he stepped closer to Charlie. He yelled as he caught the dog's back with his legs and tripped over, landing on his back. "You mangy fleabags!" he shouted angrily and rolled around, trying to get up. Jenna laughed and raced behind the bushes.

Scarlett watched the female and grinned. "Well I guess I could ask Rocky, we could always do with some extra paws." she sighed, trying to make her more and more intreaged. "Come on, I'll take you to him."

Shimmer's skittish instincts caused her to stop wagging her tail and take a step back. She looked at Scarlett and said, "You never told me your name and how do I know that I can trust you? There were some other members of your gang who attacked me, sortof. And I overheard them saying that they would tell this Rocky guy about me and then he would send someone out to kill me."

Scarlett rolled her eyes. "Listen, no one will lay one paw on you while I'm around. I'll make sure of that. I'm Scarlett by the way." she told the female who appeared to be somewhat nervous. She showed a soft smile. "Rocky won't hurt anyone unless he has a perfect reason. He may be many things but he doesn't attack just because one dog said so."

Shimmer looked Scarlett in her eyes, saw that she was being truthful, and nodded her head as a sign that she believeed her. With that she limped over to Scarlett's side and said, "Okay, lead the way."

Scarlett smiled. She liked it when she knew an other dog could trust her she just wasn't one hundred percent sure she could trust Shimmer yet. She shrugged and just padded softly towards Rocky's hideout, slowing down a little so the limping Shimmer could keep up without much pain.

Shimmer followed Scarlett as fast as she could. Despite grimacing with every step she felt pretty good. The silence was starting to get to Shimmer so she told Scarlett about the chase and her great escape.

Scarlett smiled impressed. "Nice job, it must have been pretty hard though getting away from some of Dark Paws fastest members."
