Paws on the Streets

Plot:
Many people keep cats and dogs as pets and many people will do anything to get one of these animals as pets but a small handful of people can't stand them. They toss them out on the streets as babies and wish never to see them again. How would you feel if your best friend no longer wanted you and kicked you out into the cold, dark streets? There are many gangs of cats and dogs, all fighting for the best feeding grounds or the warmest place to sleep. It could get ugly.

Rocky lay down, his huge head resting on his huge paws under a lamp post. The male rottweiler snorted as he saw a small squirrel race past him. He didn't bother moving, he just glared at the tiny squirrel until it eventually scampered up a tree. He yawned softly and closed his eyes.

Jenna slowly padded through the street and she whimpered when she saw a tall dark man walk towards her with a net. She gulped and raced in an alley but met a wall at the end. She took a deep breath as the man came closer, laughing evilly. "Haha, you're mine now!" he said and ran towards her. Jenna growled and ran between his legs and in to the forest.

Sassy sat on a bench used by the twolegs in the park. She licked her paw and glanced around, her tail swaying softly behind her.

Charlie sat outside the butchers shop and licked his lips as the smell of eat hit him. Stealthily, he padded inside and past the butcher who had his back turned. Licking his lips, Charlie picked upa piece of meat in his mouth and ran out the shop, the butcher yelling behind him.

Sammy leapt up onto the top of a fence and sat down, his tail curled around his paws. He narrowed his eyes as he spotted a wood pigeon. Quietly, He jumped down and landed on the grass. He crouched down low and stalked through the grass towards the unaware bird.

Ariana trotted into an alley, looking hopefully for something to eat. She nosed through a tipped trash can, but found only papers. There were 2 other cans, so she prodded at one and in tumpled onto the ground, scattering litter everywhere. Then Ariana smelled something tasty and she triumphantly scooped up a large duck bone. Then she headed back to share it with the other dogs, knawing at some of the little remaning meat.
