Crowfoot

Crowfoot dragged himself lifelessly through the forest. His former clanmate and deputy had locked him in a cage to get him out of the picture, he owed his life to an enemy clan leader, the cat he came to start to fall for was taken by twoegs, the former deputy that is hungry for revenge is lurking in the forest, and his respected clanmate, Dewmist, had been caged and taken away by the twolegs also. To think he started the patrol with 4 of his clanmates, but he was only to return to then clan, accompanied by no one, but himself. He had failed to keep them safe.

Barkfur/ Fleafur

Barkfur let out a deep raspy sigh as he lay in the toasty sulight, in front of the elder's den. He let the warmth of the sunlight seep into his matted pelt, as he purred with delight. A flea jumped from his flank onto his nose. "Ahh-chu!" he sneezed. He grunted with disgust and rolled over in attempts to squash the pest. "CRUNCH!" Barkfur rolled back over to reveal the guts and juices of the annoying flea, along with another flea that ust happened to get in the way. He just shrugged his shoulders at the double kill an went back to his sunning. I wonder what's taking so long for that fleabitten patrol to get back here and assign their apprentices to get some mouse-bile for these fleas and ticks. He thought.

[Puddles.]

DewMist whimpered and pressed against the cold bars of the cage. It was dark, really dark. And it was raining. She gazed at the fast moving scene from the belly of the monster and sighed. Would she ever find her clan again? What about her sister? Of course not.

Jayfall yawned. The rain pattering on the warriors den kept her up from the nap she wanted to take. Guess I'll go hunt real quick. Nobody likes soggy prey. She thought to her self and stood. Jayfall padded out of the den and looked around. The camp seemed empty. Jayfall looked at the camp entrance and padded over to it and out into the forest. She neared to border and scented something. (She doesn't know what happened with the Twolegs.) It smelled like twolegs. Uh oh... She thought and began to back into the brambles. I'll stay away from the borders for a few sun rises. She began going a bit closer to the camp, but not to close.

Jayfall began searching through the bushes and grass for any prey. She finaly found the scent of a mouse. Jayfall began going into her hunting crouch and stalking tward the stronger part of the scent. She kept her tail still and glided her paws across the soft ground, the rain hiding her scent, she found the mouse searching for seeds. It was plump. Jayfal smirked and wiggled her haunches and sprang onto the plump mouse. Its tail and paws flailing, she leaned down and killed it with a bite to the neck. Got it! She smiled and buried it under a bit of dirt and began looking for more prey.

I was named Daykit for my gingerish-cream and white fur and amber eyes. I was named Daybreak for... Well, because I lost one of my eyes. What? I find this quite offensive, actually. How would you like it if someone came up to you all: 'What is your gender scarred midget?' I don't know about you, but I'd be a little freaked out- which I am. If you must know, if you really can't tell, I am- and always will be- a she-cat. One-hundred percent pure she-cat, right here!

Hasn't anyone ever told you it's impolite to ask a lady her age? Ah, what the heck! You only live once, right? I am nineteen moons; young, old, doesn't matter. I'm old in some eyes, young in the others. Then again, you'd much rather look at the glass half full than half empty, eh?

I am a- not so proud- warrior of Birchclan. I mean, I love hunting for my clan- fighting is not the best option for me- but sometimes I feel like I let them down; you know? With my eye and all, it's hard for me to make things out sometimes, and I sort of... Well... Mess up. I don't want to let them down, let alone let him down...

Don't tell anyone this, alright? I've always wanted to be a queen. You know, raising kits that'll someday become warriors for the clan, maybe even greater. It appeals to me so much, but then again, that won't ever happen. Why? Well, I'd need a mate to be a queen. Check that off the list of dreams.

Well, when you look past my... My horrific scar... And you gingerly pick your way through the thorns... I guess you could say you find a rose. Out of all of the things- bad and good- that other clanmates have told me, two traits that I think stick out the best in me is, one: my patience; and two: my bashfulness. I'm quite... Shy, when I want to be; I admit this. But it's for a reason. I don't believe in trust just yet. No, I don't think I can allow myself to do that just yet- open myself up to anyone- no. There's no way of knowing if they really care. And anyway, if I gave someone the world, would they just break it?
