Flamepaw's eyes were wide as she jumped to her paws, not pausing before she was on her hind feet. She swung a paw out to slash at Sagefire, but found herself off-balance afterwards and came crashing to the ground once again. She groaned "My side's going to be one big bruise later."

Sagefire padded toward her "remember keep your tail out to balance yourself, otherwise you'll find yourself on your muzzle in the dirt"

"I think I already have." mumbled Flamepaw, getting up. This time when she reared she stuck out her tail, though she still wobbled unsteadily. "L-like thi-this?' she asked, fighting to keep steady.

Sagefire sighed nervously "no like this" he reared up onto his front paws "and don't just stand there letting your opponent have a clear shot at your belly, its okay to be a little unsteady"

Flamepaw dropped to her paws. "I was just trying to get it right first." she grumbled, before rearing up again, trying to copy his movements exactly.

Once Flamepaw felt somewhat balanced, she dropped to all four paws for a breath before rearing up to perform the move. She lashed out with a paw, not waiting to see how Sagefire reacted before darting in to shove him away.
