She leaned and whispered in Dewstar's ear,"Featherpaw doesn't like hunting"She said so quietly so only the leader could here, seeing the horror in her former apprentice's eyes

"No Foxfur, you will go on your patrol later, I'll be fine, I'm only going to the border." Dewstar smiled but the smile didn't last long as she glanced at his eyes. She nodded to Dappleleaf. "We're only going to the border, no hunting."

Ghostpaw padded up to Dewstar,"What am I doing?"The handsome apprentice asked.

Dewstar nodded turning to Ghostpaw. "You will be going with Waterfang, Ravenshadow, Honeypaw and Sunpaw." she meowedg gazing down at him.

Applefrost bounded over to Dewstar. "Mother? Where have you been? I was worried sick!"

Dewstar shrugged. "You know, you sound like my mother." she grumbled. "I was in the forest, And you don't have to be scared." she turned her gaze back to Foxfur. "What are you looking at?" Applefrose asked, then her eyes lit up. "Father?" she asked. "Yes..." Dewstar stared at him. Applefrost followed her mothers gaze to her fathers eyes. "What's wrong?" she asked. "Oh...nothing." Dewstar meowed shaking her head.
