Minkpaw watched as a brown squrriel nibbled on a seed of some sort. She giggled, making it alert. The one and a half year old knew she wouldn't catch it, so she'd have some fun. Crouching, she made a dog-like sound. The squrriel barked back, sending Minkpaw into a mental fit of laughter. She barked again, sending the squrriel up a tree. The gray striped cat put her paws on the trunk, still making the bark-like sound.

Cloudpaw snuggled into her enxt.

Mistleheart sits at the bottom of the tree, her hurt expression cleary showing through her eyes. "Are you really mad at me?" she asks Otterpaw mournfully. "Or at someone else? I know you feel bad..."

(All the older apprentices are becoming warriors; Otterpaw, Amberpaw, Ashpaw, Applepaw, Echopaw.)

Icefang trotted over to Echopaw and Cloudpaw. "Well done. You've both passed. However, Cloudpaw, you are a little too young to become a warrior, so you will have to wait."

Cloudpaw dropped her head in disappointment, trying to not let the feeling swell over her.

Icefang flicked her. "It's okay, you'll be a warrior before you know it."

Emberpaw awoke in her nest and looked around the den and at all her den-mates. She shook her head and rested her head on her paws.

Leafkit opened her eyes and ran outside, glad to be in the fresh air.

Nightkit stirred as his sister left his side, and snuggled down in the moss, trying to sleep.

Sunkit woke up and saw Leafkit's tail disappear. he jumped to her paws and ran after her. "Leafkit!"

Ravenshadow lifted her dark head and opened her blue eyes, gazing around. She got to her paws, shaking the moss from her pelt, and trotted outside, her tail high in the air.

Blazefire followed his sister, and saw his daughter. He smiled.
