(The ship just set sail. Everypony is kind of just meeting each other)
"I don't know what came over him. I've taken him into town before. He's a little boisterous at times but he's never so much as hissed at somepony. It's probably just being around so many new ponies, the scents will be all mixed up I suppose" he shrugged. He shifted again. Forcing his toes into these boots wasn't at all comfortable. Necessary though "It's the first time he's been on the sea. I didn't want to leave him behind on such a long journey. I've never really been on a journey like this, normally I just travel with crews moving cargo"

"That's probably it." Mint answered, knowing full well that all the new ponies most definitely wasn't the reason he had gone after her. Let him believe that though, it was far to early for her to be found out. She glanced to Saltlick before returning her gaze to Bullrush. He kept shifting like he was uncomfortable. Was it because they were talking or was it something else?

"I...I should probably get back down to the kitchen, or we won't eat. I need to get everything sorted in case we hit a storm or something. Plus I better get Saltlick back before he decides the next pony he wants to jump on" he joked. Plus my boots are filled with fire ants he added silently "Oh, and if anypony starts to get seasick then send them down, I've got stuff for that" he said aloud "But tell them to knock" He added. Standing up straight he walked away, back down the stairs, Saltlick following.
He walked into the kitchen normally, bolting the door behind him, and quickly kicked off his boots "Raaarg" he snarled in pain, stretching his toes out "Ouch ouch ouch!" he muttered, taking off the scarf and cloak as well, till he stood, kelpie parts showing.
This wasn't going to be fun keep up.

Mint stared after him, thrown off for a moment by the sudden topic change and him rushing away. Slowly she narrowed her eyes slightly. He seemed to be acting more suspicious then she was, and considering the whole Hydrus thing, that was saying something. Still, she may just be reading too far into his behavior. She didn't have a lot to compare it to after all. With a small shrug she turned away, wandering back to the side of the ship to watch the water.

Wolfheart walked across the deck, making sure all the ponies were doing okay.

"Wonder where we will end up this time.." she thought to herself.

She walked over to Mint.

"The hydrus did not hurt you right?" she asked.
