They talk to me- remember?" she curled up in her patch of moss, nuzzled her head into her tail and sighed with him. "And, Greyshadow.. it is warrior code. I don't know why your so determined for us to be mates." Ashpelt said softly with a puzzled look.

Ashpelt looked at him forlornly and couldn't stop herself from whispering, even though he was nearly asleep,"I love you too. I don't want to be right. If I was wrong, we could be mates..." She nestled back into a curled up ball and thought of how she could persuade Froststar.

Ashpelt jerked round. She was awake, and had been sitting back to Greywhisper. "Bad dream, hmm?" she said. She felt bad, but she said it in a cold way. Realizing what this would do, she softened and said, "Do you want some catnip to help you sleep?"
