Stormflight padded out of the camp entrance, turning around to check that Shadowfeather was following her. She smelt the air, but, rather than enjoying the scents, she had learned to check for threats instantly. Nothing, just the stale scent of fox, that was almost completely faded away by now. Stormflight headed towards the first scent marker, but caught the scent of a mouse on the way.
She halted. Listening.
There. The tiny footsteps were behind a holly bush to her right. She crouched down, padding slowly and as silently as an owl. As soon as she was close enough, she lept, hissing, into the air and caught the mouse in her paws. With a swift nip to the neck, she broke it's spine and buried it under a tree.
The grey she-cat turned to Shadowfeather. "Alright, let's move on. I'll come back for it later."
