Twilightpaw pondered on the offer, "Well, me and Cloudpaw were going to go hunting after seeing the new kits. You can come if you want!" He exchanged the offer. Looking round slowly, though, the Tom realized that Cloudpaw was still in the medicine cat's den. Twilightpaw turned to Rubypaw, "One sec." He mumbled as he padded into the medicine den, "Are you going to be able to come hunting?" He asked Cloudpaw.

"Alright! Kits are always so cute even if I'm the size of one!" Rubypaw giggled. "Hunting should be great if we all group, it will be like our own hunting party!" she said wiggling with excitement. Rubypaw waited patiently to see Twilightpaw and Cloudpaw and then the kittens. Her mind was racing dashing from one place to another. Her body would not stay still, her ears twitching, her tail wagging, or even jittering.

Pebblefur yawned, blinking her tired eyes. She slowly tried to pad out of her den. The elder strutted towards the fresh-kill pile. She slowly grasped a shrew In her teeth, slowly trotting back to the elders den. Sootyfeather was going to go and fetch her some kill, she picked up a mouse walking into her former mentor's den. She widened her eyes seeing her eating a shrew, she walked quickly back to the fresh-kill pile hoping no-one noticed. As she entered Pebblefur's den she widened her eyes like she hadn't been there the first time. Pebblefur sighed. "I got my own prey today." she smiled, Sootyfeather shook her head. "You need to rest," she padded over to the elder.

Sandyfern purred and watched the tom, eyes glinted. Then she glanced at the night sky. "Its good to have hope." She commented, grinning. The pale fawn she-cat noticed the tom inch closer to her, but she didn't mind, so she didn't move. She flicked her tail softly, waiting to see if the tom would reply.

Deciding that she probably wouldn't be joining the rest of them, the tom noticed the time. Twilightpaw trotted back to her, laughing at her comment, "Yeah. I tell you what, I'll meet you at dawn near the entrance then we can go. I don't think Cloudpaw will be able to come though." he explained, looking at the setting sun. With that, the black apprentice sunk into the shadows of the apprentice den, soon falling into a deep slumber.

"Awww, okay! See ya then!" She walked slowly into the apprentice den and sat down. She yawned and stretched then put her head down. In a few seconds she was out. She dreamed of climbing up trees and being a bird soaring through the sky.

Twilightpaw moaned quietly in his sleep - dreams disturbing the silence. He rolled over and weathered on his back before bumping into the wall of the den. The Tom shook his head and padded quietly out side, look by up at the wide, flat, pale moon. Twilightpaw looked a paw and drew it over his ear, content to sit in the silence.
