Oxylos sat up shakeing the snow off of his fur. He steped up to the deer biteing at its back legs.

Oxylos looked at the female comeing over he layed back down in the snow curling up to keep warm. "I guess that we just have to wait for the race time to come" He sighed. He looked at Sharp "So who was that anyway."

Sharp stopped by the cabin and watched Oxlyos before padding back over to him."That used to be one of my old team mates."He said sitting down.

Oxylos looked at Sharp "What happened to your old team with her" He sat down cleaning his fur lightly

Sharp sighed "Its a long story."He siad looking to the ground.

Oxylos looked at him concerned "Well we seem to have some time but if you don't want to talk about it then I understand" He smiled hopeing that Sharp understood that he was just trying to help and get to know him.

Sharp smiled "Ok ill tell."He looked to the sky."It was the first day of training for me and Pepper,who where the lead dogs.""Our master was cruel and cold hearted."He looked at Oxylos "He hitched the team and never said mush he just hit us with the wip.""We all yelped and started on." He sighed and paused."Soon we came to a frozen river..""But it wasnt just any river it was the river that had taken manny sled teams lives."Me and Pepper knew that but our master didnt."He hit us with the wip manny times until we finnaly bolted across the river."Half way their the ice began to break.."he said looking down.

Oxylos looked at him saddened "You don't have to go on if it's to painfull I will understand." He tried to smile "But i am happy that both of you made it out ok."

Sharp smiled "Its fine." He began the rest of the story."Me and Pepper plus the two swing dogs made it to land before the harnesses broke from the weight of the sled going under water."Later that night the two swing dogs died one of them just so happened to be my mother."The next day a snow storm came and me and Pepper got seperrated."To day was the first time i have seen her in 3 in a half years." he said looking up.
