Christie looked and tilted her head.She examined the brute as she ran after him.
Oh the gods...his injuries are terrible!! she thought.The snow crunched under her paws as she ran after him.She could see her breath.
Must...help the wolf... she thought as she panted.

Cooper would have continued to run, had he not tripped over his own paws. He slammed face-first to the ground, flipping over and onto his back. Wonderful. I'm clumsy, so now I'm gonna die, he thought, struggling to stand again.

Christie panted,and fell over.
"You're...a fast one..." she panted.
"Look...I don't...wanna...hurt you...guy." she says.

Cooper managed to stand up, keeping his head low as he looked at the female. "How... can I be so sure... of that?" he asked between pants, pinning his ears back. As much as he wanted to run again, something about this wolf didn't make him feel as threatened as he probably should be.

Though hurt,Christie's sarcasm raced throughout her body still.
"Well,maybe because I can't stand up,for one thing." she said with an eye roll.
"You don't have to be a coward.It's just me.Not like I'm a ghoul or something."

Cooper sneered at her sarcasm, then took two steps back before sitting down. "It's not cowardice when a stranger comes running after you. Regardless, why were you running toward me?" he asked, shifting positions so he wasn't putting as much weight on his left paw.

Christie chuckled.
"Uh,yes it is.tons of strangers have run towards me.All I do is stand and fight like a brute." she says.
"And why??I'm the beta of Willow Cliffs.It's my job to make sure no hostile body is on the premises."

Cooper mumbled something under his breath about rudeness, then looked up. He tried to hide his sudden fear. "You're part of a pack...? Did anyone follow you?" he demanded, standing up again. He wasn't helping his case about justifying his cowardice, but he couldn't help it. He was nervous.

Christie stifled a laugh.
"No.I come alone." she says.
"You know,you're kinda cute when you're scared."

Cooper opened his mouth to protest, but narrowed his eyes and huffed. He sat back down, assuming that he should make the best of her presence. "It would be nice if I knew your name," he said, looking at her.
