"I guess so Ralph, but when I look at other dogs and how they have families, it kinda makes me feel bad." Honey sighed. She sighed and laid down. When she laid down she rolled on her back and looked at the sky.

Bailey came out of a hole she had dug. "It is a good way to pass time". she muttered. She looked at all the other dogs around her. "Ummmm I guess I will just go and do something elce." She mumbled

"I guess I've never thought of it like that.." He said. He wondered how would his family be like if he actually had one, and how his life would be like now... "There's no regret in my life that I could possibly think about though..." He added

Lady relaxed but she was still ready to run if she needed too. "Uhh... I just wanted to apologize for back there..." She mumbled. She looked slowly up at Dax

"I was once born into a family, but you don't understand what kind of family I came from Ralph. It was horrible. The cages were crowded and it smelled bad because we didn't have any bathrooms to use. We always had to fight for food and water and this." Honey sighed. She moved her fur fur away from her stomach. The numbers tattooed on it were 53431.

Dax looked up at Lady with his bright green eyes. "No need to apologize, I was being a flea bag back there, but alot of people don't understand what kind of life I have lived." He said, looking down at his large paws.

Ralph tilted his head, confused. "Why do you have a tattoo?" He looked on his stomach "I don't have one...? And I don't see why any family would do that to anyone..." Ralph said and he looked up "If I ever were to have a family, I'd give them the best of what I could offer." he said proudly

"Well then Dax," She said as she started to scoot closer in interest "What kind of life have you lived?" She asked

Honey swallowed hard and sat back up. "I have a tattoo because I came from a puppy mill. in order to count how many dogs they have, they tattoo it on the puppy's body after they're born. Trust me, you don't want one especially on you stomach. I still remember when I got mine. It felt so horrible and I cried for weeks because of the pain." she sighed.

"Oh... I'm so sorry! I can't imagine even being in that kind of pain..." He nuzzled her. "Well that's behind you. Now you're in a better place and they can't come get you here." He tried to make her feel better

Honey sighed and tears rolled down her face. "I understand that I'm in a better place, but the memories just scar me for life. I can't sleep without dreaming of that horrible place. I want to forget, but I just can't especially with the tattoo and it just hurts to have to live with this for the rest of your life." she sobbed.

Dax sat by Lady. "A horrible one were your mother abandons you, then tries to kill you." He said with a sigh.
